A 4-month-old baby, Sterling Koehn, died last August of a diaper rash after his parents left him in a dirty diaper for 14 days. His parents, Zachary Koehn,28, and Cheyanne Harris,21, have been charged with murder and child endangerment, which they both pled not guilty to both charges.


Sterling’s lifeless body was discovered in a swing in his parents home. According to The Waterloo-Cedar Falls Courier:

"The prosecutor said the dirty diaper attracted bugs, which laid eggs that hatched into maggots. Severe diaper rash set in, causing open wounds that allowed bacteria to enter the baby’s bloodstream, and the baby subsequently died of malnutrition, starvation, and the infection. Sterling was found dead after his father called 911 saying the baby had died. EMT Toni Friedrich, who was first to arrive on the scene, testified that Sterling’s eyes were open in “a blank stare” when she first saw him, and when she moved his blanket, gnats flew up."

Once watched one program like that on sonymax,doctors telling absurd things they have come across.One of them was when a nurse escorted a new single mom home after childbirth.The mom once they got home,the following convo ensued.
Momyawns),i want to go have a rest.

Nurse:Come and carry your baby and let me aquaint you with the procedures of bathing,formula feeding,changing diapers and pacifying a baby.I will be leaving soon.
Mom:you must be joking.leaving to where?

Nurse:hospital of course.

Mom:This can't be true.then what do I do with her...(sounding exasperated.). You are supposed to be here, that's why I paid you ppl.I can't do sh.it with her.Pls I can't

Nurse:Don't worry,you will get the hang of it.(carries the baby to her )
Mom:I can't I can't pls, I tot it was the nurses jobs to look after babies.
Nurse:for how long?
Mom:Till at least one Yr.


My Husband:a 21 Yr old mom is expecting a hospital nurse to take care of her child for her,pls change this programme.

Me:Ppl who do not have problems in life.

How many of us has had our babies accompanied home by a nurse or a hospital staff come check on your baby at home.
