Do you know one funny thing? If every politician that stole used the money like IBB (Glo, Conoil, Banking etc) or Atiku (AUN University, AUN hotel, eateries, bottling coy, ABTI secondary school etc) we should have been far developed than we are now. Not saying it's right to steal butinvesting it back in Nigerians is better for those that did than dying and leaving it in untouchable Swiss bank accounts.

He retrieved $360million Abacha Loot. Instead of sharing it equally to develop the 36 States on even keel, he uses Fulani Presidential wayo orders to collude with unfriendly world leaders to indirectly return the loot to Abacha's family and deviced bogus scheme to give NINs to many illegal Fulani Immigrants to come and vote for him.
Until the Lord says so, this Sudanese Jibril will continue to impede Nigeria's meaningful progress.

Simply put, they can't win elections. Donald trump is presently one if the greatest presidents America has had, but he would not have o won elections if he ran on any other party other than the 2 known parties. That's the way politics is.

All these parties are not serious. If they were serious, they wouldn't run for president. They would work on building the party structure first. It could take a decade or more. Its a cause, not an activity. Can a house be built without a foundation? So also a party cannot stand without structure. What is structure? Human beings, membership. As strong as PDP is, they are struggling to get votes in Lagos. Why? The APC structure in Lagos is much stronger than PDP. That's the way it works.

And please make no mistake, all of them Ezekwesili o, Duke o, Sowore, Durotoye, Hashim Moghalu and the rest of them, they know they are not going to scratch up to 1 percent of the votes combined. They are running for other reasons which is personal to them.

Shut up when did Atiku fail you ? Has Atiku ever held any executive office or appointment in Nigeria apart for VP where he was very caged by OBJ ..it is Buhari that has failed you

if APC presents Buhari and PDP Abacha then its a no go area. And for me the gap between the two evils is much.with the way its going under the Buhari the right person would never come because Mr right won't come by change,thats evident in the recent governorship election in Osun, believe me we won't even have free and fare elections as desperate as Buhari and those behind him are.Laws are been trampled upon,nepotism plus undemocratic attitudes.Bro we need someone who can define democracy correctly, someone who respect are laws,who understands one thing leads to another in human behavior,and not all issues needs military cramp-down
I do completely agree we need vote the right person but 'HOPING' will never solve it here. i am talking base on practical terms.we need acts and reason and weigh the options.

In an ideal world, Nigerians should vote out APC and PDP, both parties are abysmal failures.

However, Nigeria is not an ideal place. There are many Buhari supporters in the North who don't care if Buhari failed or that Nigeria has gotten worse under Buhari. What they care about is that a Northern Muslim should be in ASo Rock and Buhari is their best bet

There are many Easterners who recognise that both PDP and APC are failures but also realise that voting Sowore or Moghalu is a wasted vote since they have zero chance of getting elected since they will never carry the North. So the East has to go with the only person who can give Buhari a run for his money in the North and that's Atiku.

Then you have the West who also know that APC and PDP are massive failures but since APC gives a man from the West the opportunity to be no 2 man, they have to go with APC.


Nigeria is all about sectional interests, nobody cares
about national interests. Right now, the two main political parties are reserving enormous financial war chest they will use to prosecute the 2019 elections. Buhari and Atiku know this is the last elections they will ever run as both men will be around 80 years in the next 4 years and it will be a fight to the finish. There will be massive vote buying, thuggery, killings and rigging.


It is not in this sort of atmosphere that Sowore or Moghalu stand any chance at all.

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one having these thoughts. So many posters have already dissected the issue, let me just add my own.
NB. I use village/villagers as an allusion to both people at the grassroot level, I.e the majority of the masses, the common man and basically anybody with village/greedy stomach infrastructure mentality, as in anybody that believes in collecting money or other rewards (contracts/appointments etc) to vote/support an aspirant/candidate.
The greatest tool of politicians in Nigeria is poverty, they intentionally impoverish the masses so as to achieve their aims, which is to amass wealth and power for them and thier generation and to further thier causes, religious/political etc. Let me quickly explain why democracy is so expensive in Nigeria, why looting can never stop and why we keep being left with few undesirable options during elections. During elections, each political party conducts a primary beginning at the local Government (village) level, and the people who cast votes at this stage are the community members/villagers that are registered members of that party. This means it is these villagers, your parents/grandparents, uncles/aunties, that determine the person that will emerge as the candidate of that party. Unfortunately these villagers, your people, ultimately vote for the person that can offer them the largest sum of money, usually with mouthwatering promises of more to come if elected, with the mentality that after all regardless of who they vote for, they are all the same, so they might as well make some money since election periods are the only periods when they can make money. So after being given money with assurance of more to come, they vote for the highest bidder who then emerges as the candidate of that party. Note that on the day of the actual election (presidential/gubernatorial etc) parties that have many supporters will logically have many votes, and majority of people who support candidates/parties at the LGA/village level do so because of money. Now these people, the villagers greatly outnumber the "educated city dwellers/free thinkers", so for every person you hear saying "we must elect someone accountable blah blah" in the state capital and other suburbs, we have hundreds of people in the LGAs/villages (the larger population) saying "abeg make we vote this man wey go settle us Wella." So the D-Day comes, you and your fellow educated free thinkers go to polling booths to vote for intelligent and capable candidates, while the corrupt moneybags arrange buses to shuttle the villagers they've bribed to vote for them. At the end, the capable candidates score ridiculous votes, while the moneybags score overwhelming votes, usually with the aid of bribed electoral officers/security agents and thugs, to disrupt the process at locations where they feel they don't get many votes. Now the thing is that majority of the money being used to settle these our mommies and daddies in the villages comes from misappropriated public funds, as in the money allocated for the repairs of bad roads, building hospitals, paying salaries etc, is used to bribe your uncles and aunties in the village. So political parties in LGAs recruit members/supporters with promises of money, the more members/supporters they have, the more votes they'll get, but the more members they have, the more money they'll need to settle them, hence the need to steal more money, consequently the less roads that will be repaired/constructed, the less hospitals/salaries that will be paid. So basically the money meant for all these projects that would make this country a decent place to live in is being eaten by both the politicians and our people in the villages and elsewhere. So there we have it, a vicious cycle where money stolen from funds meant for building roads etc is used to bribe people to vote for candidates, bearing in mind that the more people voting for them creates more need to steal more money meant for building schools, so at the end we're left with dilapidated schools and bad roads, because it's been spent on elections, inducing community members to register with parties, sorting other aspirants to step down for anointed candidates, bribing corrupt electoral officers and all the other capital intensive requirements that must be fulfilled to emerge the winner. Basically our worst enemies, the people that contribute to our incessant lack of development, that limit our choices to just one or two corrupt and often dull candidates, are your relatives/kinsmen, village men/women that demand for money to vote.

Guys,you may not know this,but the USA is just like Nigeria.
The Democrat/Republican parties are just like APC/PDP. They are controlled by corporations , and the invisible rich.
Any independent party can't get on American television because the television is owned by the rich elite , and they don't want a party not controlled by them to gain exposure. Thats y you only hear about Republicans/Democrats.
Same way Sowore has trouble getting on Radio/Television/NewsPapers in Nigeria.

America suffers from the same rich ppl controlling the politics.
