Oguta- Imo State
How are you? Omena aha
Do you want to eat now? I choro iri ini duduna

shocked cheers

Wait what? Is Oguta this Divergent I was of the assumption that all dialects in Imo state aren't that different. Someone should please educate me on The Oguta dialect, their relations with their neighbors especially the Ukwuani's in Delta and the Ndoni in rivers. Including other groups in Imo.

My maternal grandma is from Ndoni, Rivers State. They are Ukwuani people. They were once part of Delta State before they were cut into Rivers State. If you know anything about the Ukwuani people of Delta State then you should know about the Ndoni people of Rivers State. Same folks.

Thanks. But do they identify as Ukwuani/Ndokwa. You know how Rivers people are with every compound as an ethnic group. I've also seen claims that's they speak the Onicha dialect

Ndi Igbo Ibe m ,

Kedu ka unu melu ?

Here is my story : I was born and raised abroad ( in France to be more exact ) and i am currently trying to learn Igbo language on the Internet. I can proudly now say that I have mastered the basics ( vocab / grammar, still need some working on my tones though). However, I never really learned my dialect. My family is from Nanka in Orumba North LGA of Anambra state. I hope that you guys can help me
