Andre Uweh: @Odumchi, most Isiala Mbano speak same dialect. But Ehime is different. In Ehime Mbano, communities such as Nsu,Nzerem and Umunumu speak the same dialect spoken in Isinweke/Obowu axis. Though Umualuwaku up to Aba branch are different but it is closeer to Isinweke/Obowu dialects.
For example in Isinweke/Obowu dialect=Ogbalaghala (he has ran away)is same in all parts of Ehime but not same in Isiala.

Andre, ndeewo. I meela nnukwu. Aghotala m ihe unu kwuga ugbua.

You're right, Anambra do not use "r".

You should not blame Ada Ide, Igbo Izugbe taught in schools tend to conflict with Anambra dialects.

What town are you from in Nkanu (East or West?)? I know a few people from Awkunawnaw in Nkanu East LGA. Their dialect sounds interesting.

I'm from the bolded part of Enugu. How similar is the Nkanu dialect to that of Nsukka?
Afam, I thought you're from Amaechi Awkunanaw.
BTW, the bolded part read 'UZO UWANI LGA'.
Or, you posted this before your mummy told you where you were from?
it's ironic.
And a little disturbing.

Heh heh heh.

Easter blessings.

It was a mistake. I thought it was the Uwani in Awkunanaw. Didn't realize it was another local government.

ChinenyeN:

The first Igbo Bible was not Bonny. It was what the CMS (Catholic Missionary Society) dubbed as "Union Igbo" (though everyone knows it was basically Onitsha).

CMS Means Church Missionary Society based in London and an arm of the Anglican Church.Thanks.

ChinenyeN:
1. I did make a mistake in one of the things I wrote, confusing Church Missionary Society (CMS) for Roman Catholic Missionary (RCM). The Onitsha Bible was RCM. CMS was Union. RCM's Onitsha Bible only existed because RCM didn't want to use CMS's Union.
