The Director of Strategic Communications of Buhari Campaign Organisation, Festus Keyamo on Sunday said the opposition was trying to nail President Muhammadu Buhari.



He stated that plans were in motion outside the country to scrutinize the president’s West African Examinations Council (WAEC) certificate.

Buhari on Friday, in Abuja received the attestation and confirmation of his 1961 West African School Certificate (WASC) Examination.

The documents were presented to him at State House during a courtesy visit by a delegation of WAEC led by its Registrar, Dr Iyi Uwadiae, accompanied by Olutise Adenipekun, Head, National Office, Abiodun Aduloju, Head Public Affairs, and Olufemi Oke, Zonal Coordinator, Abuja.

On Twitter, Keyamo lambasted those insisting that the certificate was forged, adding that Buhari’s opponents were holding meetings on next action.

“The dumbest comments I’ve read about d now dead issue of PMB’s WAEC result is to say WAEC forged its own document”, he wrote.

“Where there’s ONLY ONE body authorized by law to issue a document, it can only make mistakes or clerical errors on it (I don’t concede that here) but cannot forge it.

“On a lighter note, we understand the opposition is now hunting for the examiners who marked PMB’s scripts in 1961 to ascertain whether the grades in PMB’s WAEC result tallies with the marks they actually gave him.

“They’re flying in some US investigators to Dubai for consultation,” he stated.

WAEC will make clerical mistake on a president's attestation of certificate? It's unbelievable. I believe there must have been series of consultations between the two parties over the months, with the attestation reviewed times without number before it was officially unveiled. On a lighter note, the certificate issue is just by the way...Buhari has failed as a president, even if he has a Prof. attached to his name.

You see why some of us say ignorance is the factor fueling most criticisms.

The "Not Applicable" refers to the certificate number on the previously issued certificate, which as at 1961 might not have been in use, thus making it N/A for such a candidate who needs to be reissued such document.

As for the registration No. you are referring to and which is the most critical evidence that Buhari indeed sat for the said exam in 1961, it is still very much present on this attestation document as the candidate No.

It is very evident that people are determined not to be convinced. They prefer the joy they derive from being miserable and ignorant.

In the event that they're found, would one who marked a candidate's script in 1961 remember the details of the scores. And if they can't find the them, PDP should go to their graves and ask them what Buhari scored in 1961. That's when they become real Atiku late.

Some of the dumbest comments litter nairaland politics section. We've tried our best to help them see how dumb they sound but they are beyond redemption. It is only people whose brains have been seriously damaged by hate that would believe WAEC would forge its own document and then get the council registrar to present the forged document publicly to the president. How this nonsense made sense to wailers is beyond my understanding.
