Sheu Sani is a bigot, why not attack the useless and selfish state governors who insisted they can’t pay 30k as minimum wage.

The federal government has done her part, state governors are the real problem here.

To all those PDP supporters who commented above me attacking Buhari, why not tell ur PDP governors to pay the 30k so that Nigerians will know the problem is left with APC and Buhari.

When it plunges to $30 would they also agree to a cut in funding? These are the kind of anti government talks and stance that has pitched this Shehu Sani against his governor and even many of his constituency members. The presidency are only simply avoiding him, if not there slap would have been harder than that of Elrufai. Some Kaduna ppl are even threatening to stone him, whenever he campaigns in their wards
I am sure the law makers and executives doesn't cut their allowances and take homes when d oil price plunges.

Shehu Sani never was an APC man at heart. He has always been an activist from their days in CDHR and was locked up in Kirikiri by Abacha.

His true activist nature is now out.

Measuring the price of a barrel of crude oil as a yardstick for funding of our universities is being narrow minded. Because, funding of the universities is not the only problem needed to be solved from the proceeds of the crude oil. There are many problems confronting the country and majority of them depend on the crude oil income. I think somebody at Shehu Sani level should be talking about solving the fundamental problem by proposing how these universities could be self sustaining if he truly cares and not playing politics. How long shall we continue to proffer interim measures on this matter? By his submission, it means that when the crude trades for free or small margin, we will have to close the universities.

In 2009....ASUU and FG signed an agreement that guaranteed N3 trillion over 2 years in EXTRA funding for universites.

In 2013, ASUU went on strike when the money had not come...and that is when GEJ told them that N3 trillion was not affordable..ie govt could not give them N3 trillion

In 2013...Oil was above $110 per barrel.

Now, oil is at $70.....and Senator Sani somehow expects miracles in funding?

Sorry, but if we want cheap fees, cheap educaiton...either we raise taxes, or wait for oil to reach its breakeven at $140 per barrel......or we just keep on taking loans.

The only way universites can be self sustaining is by increasing fees, among other measures.

Either that...or we raise taxes, or we take another loan from IMF.

Bro what baffles me up till now is that some people still support this obviously confused Buhari. I don't even know if they are robots. Are they sensitive at all? shocked
That's one of the problems of popularism. People who adore Buhari are not different from Hugo Chavez/Maduro ass_likers.

Leadership should not be about how popular you are but about your vision, capacity, fairness etc

If Nigeria was a communist country, it would have been shut down like Venezuela.

Buhari is super clueless. And he has demonstrated that in many instances.

This man has always been an activist. He was like that until the APC primaries were approaching and he suddenly lost his activist voice and started twitting MacDonald restaurant Chinese restaurant nonsense, for return ticket. But it seems he has rediscovered his voice now since he left APC.
Wish I can like your comment more than once, almost my thought, this is real shehu sani speaking.

Illiterates and the poor are easy to exploit. The dream of the ruling elite globally, especially of our kind, is to keep the people ignorant and poor.
