Mine ehen is 3 much, but right now car is parked till further notice, master clutch cylinder has packed up, it's been giving signs but I kept on managing and postponing repair as money no gree enter, until it final stopped working, clutch pedal just went flat in motion.

Thank God I wasn't on high speed. Managed to put it to
a stop without hitting anyone. And it's very scarce to find. Car is a Suzuki sx4 2010model.

Front shock absorbers need to be changed, shaft, ball joint and linkage, radiator also needs to be changed, all na cos of ambode bad roads.

Clutch is available in 6-10 days if you're willing to pay for it but with everything else it has going on...

Sure it's not just the bulb which is less than N2,000?

Oil change is something we love to delay in Nigeria but shortens the life of an engine fast
It’s not the bulb it’s a fuse issue that the rewire would just do in less than 10mins the car is only 6 month used and I changed the oil just last 3month I’m beginning to hear my shocks go bad I just tire self Nigeria road no help at all.

My BMW e46 speeds normal, but when on still if I apply more pressure on the pedal it will come out with white smoke. After that nothing like smoke even if am on motion and on high speed nothing like smoke. I do top my oil virtually every week, because the oil do go low.
O boy....that is not a good look at all ...I had similar issues with my elantra ...the oil was shorten and there is was no leak to be found.. My driver kept topping oil every three weeks ,after a month.. The topping turn to every week or so .. Omo I had to ring the engine ...
So in your case omo u have to either ring the engine or buy new engine... those cars require proper maintenance, and most Nigerians can't maintain regular Toyota cars ,so na luxury cars dey want maintain... goodluck bro.. Wish u the best

Check engine light(yellow color) and airbag light is showing on my dashboard(Toyota corolla 2003). What could be the cause and how can I fix it, any damage to the car is not urgent attended to cos no money for now. Any good mechanic in Abuja to help me fix them...
Thanks for the mention radautoworks.

Does the check engine light blink?

Was the airbag light always on or it came up after some incident? If yes, what incident.

Have you obtained any DTCs?

Where in Abuja are you based?

My 1996 Toyota Camry Power steering fluid is leaking. A full cup hardly last me a day. Mechanic said i'll have to change the whole steering rack. which cost over 30K. Please, is there any other alternative to this..

Sanusi..
What do think ASE study guides say is the most important system is on a car for safety?

Steering.

Prioritize this repair, if you place premium on your life and that of others.

Mine is Steering Beam which I have changed like 3yimes after a while the Steering goes back to being stiff again. My mechanic said I should change the Power Steering Pump. Don't know what to do again.

And he was same person that said it's the Steering Beam.
Better be safe than sorry.

That sensor is not N700 anywhere o.

I bought for a 2008 Accord for 10k.

Mechanics are now aware that anything called sensor should be 5k above.

Gone are the days i bought an O2 sensor (B1S2) for N2.5k. these days na 15k dem dey talk.

Do you know how much ABS module is these days, 35k +. This is something no one cares about but mechanics and dealers just wanna extort if you care.
Change mechanics.

If there’s a real true to god safety inspection in Lagos then there won’t be any traffic because a good 60% of vehicles will be off the road.

you are quick to blame owners of the vehicle but forgot that government neglect is what I'd causing people to manage these vehicles.

don't worry sir you will soon be permanent in naija and you will start singing the same songs as those who dey ground grin

Keep dreaming. I’m an Autoist and I maintain my vehicles.

I’m not welding myself to naija. Naija is just a place for me to hang my hat while I’m not going about checking off my bucket list.

Country is hard for everyone. Don't be so quick to judge.

This thread does tell me to steer clear of Nigerian used cars, though. Poor maintenance culture is in us all. grin
Even the issues that are fixed are usually poorly done.

Just this week, I've been hit with a failing battery and a leak in my HVAC. Replacement battery bought, AC to be fixed over the weekend.

if you're lucky to get a mechanic that has access to butchers. Accidented vehicle, I mean cars that crashed and the owner lost hope in it. These mechs harvest vital parts and sell. Follow come engines original 02 sensor, it's usually removed cos of it's intrinsic value. You might be lucky to get a good mech n price. Most mechs do buy these parts from these sources

Yup... Or at least keeping them limping if not fully mobile.

We used them all the time in USA. Difference being the parts are usually good and most of them give you some kind of warranty/return period
