The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, has restated his position in support of labour in its struggle for a living wage.

The former vice president, however, urged both organised labour and federal government to exercise restraint and avoid creating situations that will plunge the nation into deeper crises.

Mr Abubakar implored labour to reconsider its stance on an industrial strike action. He encouraged both sides to go back to the negotiating table and reach an agreement.

“Our economy is already on its knees and escalation of this crisis into full blown industrial strike action may have dire consequences for our nation,” he said in a statement by his spokesperson, Paul Ibe.

The NLC has vowed to proceed on a nationwide strike from Tuesday if government does not agree to a N30, 000 minimum wage for workers.

Saraki has thought him how to steal other people's glory. Atiku made the statement after he heard that the strike was cancelled. NLC had made it known it was going on strike for some days now, why is Still just coming up with this advise? probably his tell us that he is not as proactive as his fans are projecting him but rather a reactive leader.

Atiku's children are somewhere enjoying the loot of their father you are here willing to die for him.

President Buhari and Apc are suffering from two mean diseases, one is messiah complex and mythry syndrome. Ironically Nigeria democracy had lost his shine and sheen under their watch.

My opinion is this. Assu strike is whack! They have so many unrealistic ideas.

When will they realise that if the government co operates with them, the economy will crash?

Our economy can't support that minimum wages. Its impossible. Most of the head in assu council have not been affected by this.
