President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday received report of the Tripartite Committee on the Review of National Minimum Wage at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

The report was submitted by the committee’s chairman, Amal Pepple.

The committee which recommended N30,000 as the new national minimum wage also submitted a draft bill that will be sent to the National Assembly.

Even if the government agrees to fix the minimum wage at N90k, it's of no use without a functioning price regulatory system to keep the price of commodities in the market relatively stable and of course, low thereby avoiding inflation. With this minimum wage, it's only a matter of time before we are back to square one.

Expect prices of goods and services to skyrocket now and it's going to be the government doing to suck back whatever they give out

The president better send the draft bill to the National Assembly so that before next week, it would have passed through all the readings on the floor and sent back for consent.

Civil servants, be ready to have more money in tour account by December 2018.

I wish Nigerian workers Goodluck in this struggle .

You guys have really worked hard , endured the economy hardship for too long and deserve good wage .

30k may be too small , but it's still better than nothing .

No implementation date. At least Labour Union should signed agreement on the implementation date either this year or January next year.

If the report was presented early like 2 years ago or after 2019 forget it he will not attend to it.

This is the most crucial part of this process but unfortunately nothing in Nigeria is ever done thoroughly.

Of what use is it if government adds a little to your minimum wage and then collects over times two on multiple taxation, inflation and corruption?
