1.It brings out the best.
2.It demoralizes and brings out the worst.

I didn't see the last moments of the game sha.

So I don't get the context.

But players can be guided and corrected without being shouted on.

You can call it shouting since football match is always a frenzy affair, suddenly you are attacking and suddenly you are defending. So, you don't even have the chance to whisper instructions to someone. Shouting is the best anyone can do. You can see how the coaches do it on the sidelines. However, if Dembele allows the shouting to demoralize him, then he is not a true professional. To be playing for a top club like Barcelona, is definitely not a walk in the park. He must always be on his toes otherwise there must be someone to ensure he's always on his toes.

I think Dembele played with more purpose yesterday. If it was as a result of the yelling from Suarez, then i have no problem with it. They are professionals. Nobody can teach them that what happens on the pitch, stays on the pitch. You should know Messi is not an outspoken personality, unlike Suarez who is more flamboyant. So, I am not surprised at all that Messi does not give instructions on the pitch, and that goes on to show why Messi is not regarded as a charismatic captain. Maybe, the coach may have assigned Dembele to Suarez. As a matter of fact, I think Dembele needs all the help he can get. It wouldn't be in Barca's interest to spend so much on the player and not realize the results they expect. It would even tell on the player. So, frankly, I don't mind the shouting at all, if it helps bring out the best we know he is. He is a young man. He should listen

We are talking about sports, not politics. Sports is a physical exercise and it is a competition. If your mind is not fired up for it, you might be unable to deliver the best you can. It is like marching to a war. If you put away your aggressive side and become meek, so you can look like Mr Lincoln, the best leader of all time, you will be butchered. In the instance of football, you will lose.

did you watch Dembele during the world cup? Even Deschamps stopped playing him, but you will only remember Valverde. Shey Arthur is as old as Messi shey, that should be why Valverde starts him. Valverde sees inconsistency in Dembele. Authoritarian coaches like Guardiola and Tuchel prefer younger players, they listen to instruction, Dembele no wan hear word. As good as Mendy is, Guardiola still punishes him for insubordianation, even Sane. Dembele is no different. Coaches need players to do the right thing to help the team thrive. Valverde is right, Dembele is wrong. And I prefer Dembele to Malcolm.

Arthur is older than dembele n he's just a genius, funny how u dodged semedo, paco n malcom cases. Griezman's inability to lead the line alone also contributed to droppin dembele 4 a giroud he can feed off. Not saying dembele performed well, he did'nt, but can be given benefit of the doubt after a lengthy injury. Under valverde's watch,even iker munian regressed badly.

In your honest opinion, Roberto and Semedo who deserves to start?
