The first season was great. It was grim, bleak and challenging.
The pimps,the filthy streets,the whores,their clients,the corrupt,jaded law enforcers.
The second season? Not so much.Too "clean"
The high end club, the mob, women empowerment, pimps turning "good" and seeing "the light",too much gay stuff, transgender bull blah blah blah
Too much "wokeness" ruined it
Actually, it's inspired by true events, If you do your research, you will know that the timeline that mirrors the show, the 70s and 80s, that's when minority groups such as women, LGBT started fighting for their rights, It has to blend that with the plot because that's what the story is about or in your vocab "wokeness"

Just watched the first episode of Ozark and oh man, just great, as usual.

I just really like the tone of the locals. Just love quality dialogues. No dullling.

WRONG!!!
The groups you mentioned began having equal rights in the US with the advent of the civil rights movement from the 50s through to the 60s.
I am right with the "wokeness" portion of my post. From the depiction of the very masculine character Frank having sex with a transvestite,to the ex-who.re Dorothy confronting her former pim.p CC because she had magically transformed into a "strong" woman,to the black lady Dolores complaining about not receiving equal pay like her white porn performers to the excessive display of gay sex acts.
Wokeness, wokeness at every turn.It completely destroyed my viewing experience and this once splendid program

I know that the civil rights movements started during the 50s and 60s, it did continue downwind through the 70s and 80s and gained more popularity than before and they had to incorporate that with the plot, we only have one more season left, both seasons are different and I won't lie, i had to make season 2 grow on me and I watched it a second time to imagine myself in that sphere

I don't know what you mean by "too clean", cuz it's apparent from where I'm standing that you're letting your personal prejudices and bias get in the way. The highlighted only served to make the show stronger and better, not weaker. The writing and world building have been exceptional, and have left enough room for plot longevity. You don't have to watch, you know. No be by force.

Finally someone sheds the spotlight on The Deuce and Pose(if you have seen it), they are slightly similar in some ways, both taking place during the 70's and 80's during the emerging AIDS era, I received a lot of insight concerning the topics portrayed on both shows, one of the reasons apart from both topics being controversial, i thought I was the only one watching so I felt ashamed talking about the shows, the insight I also gained from both of them made me more empathetic to the topics discussed on both shows, that's the beauty of a tv series, it becomes part of you unlike a movie you watch and you grasp the moral at that moment, it flakes off in a day or two but when you watch a show or read a book, it stays with you, they are definitely not for the simple minded or ignorant folks
There's nothing to feel ashamed of, bud. These kind of shows are a litmus to spot people that appreciate educative slow burns from the generic crowd. You can tell a lot about a person's psyche and intellect from the kind of shows and movies they prefer. So, bro, you've got nothing to be ashamed of.

The Deuce is a good show, and has the potential to be a cult classic like The Wire. Like all character driven shows, it takes a number of episodes to get to know the characters, and understand the role they're going to be playing in the larger story world. I wouldn't call people that aren't keen on it simple-minded though. Some people have short attention span and don't like having to wait around for characters to fully develop. I get that.

The second season was not as good as the first because it pandered too much to certain demographics.
The story suffered because of that.
What is with the "No be by force" line? Why so rude because I have a contrary view to yours about a tv program?

I tender my unreserved apology. Wasn't my intention to be rude. You did give the impression that someone is forcefeeding you the show, though. Just saying.

No problem.
The fact that we have differing views about those "hot button" issues does not mean we should be at loggerheads.
No one forced me to watch the program but I enjoy David Simon shows and their themes.
All I want to do is watch a good story. So when I see things that used to be done behind closed doors and viewed as specific fetishes being displayed in full view on a network (No matter how premium it is)I find it very jarring.
You have got to understand this and those with similar views to mine.
Afterall,we are the majority

The haunting of hill house
I found this supernatural horror drama refreshing and in my opinion does absolute justice to its source novel. A breath of fresh air if you will. Although, there are left over threads that could be Spined into a second season, I would greatly prefer it to go the way of an anthology series. If there will be a second season that is.
Ps; Although, great and impressive performance from the cast, Carla gugino stands out and most definitely deserves an award for such topnotch acting.

Season 1 of Fargo gave me joy
Remember this scene...

Lorne: The bully in high school, he's a bully now? So why didn't you show him what's what?

Lester: Well, he had his sons with him, and...

Lorne:You let a man beat you in front of his children to send them a message?

Lester: No, that's not - heck, just heck.

Lorne: In my experience, if you let a man break your nose, then the next time he tries to break your spine.

Lester: Sam? No way. I mean, I don't think. It just - I guess I embarrassed him in front of his boys.

Lorne: You embarrassed him?

Lester: By - he was telling me about a time where he and my wife, they were - he didn't know she was my wife is the thing, and when I told him...

Lorne: This man slept with your wife, and you're worried about embarrassing him?

Lester: Not slept. No, they didn't - he said it was just - she has soft hands, see, and I guess I...

Lorne: Now Mister, we're not friends. I mean, maybe we will be some day. But I've got to say, if that were me in your position, I would have killed that man.

I wish i can rewind the hands of time just to re-watch the season one again sad

Mayans MC and Mystery Road are two of three new shows that have that sorta vibe that I'm aware of. The other one is Yellowstone, but you've probably watched it already.

I dont know why they had to change the lead actress that played Queen Elizabeth in the series called the crown.

I just love the way she talks, her facial expression is so lovely.
She was indeed a queen.
I fell in love with her from a distance.
Damm she is good.
I am sad that she wont be playing queen again in season 3.
The crown is an awesome series.
one of my favourite scenes is anytime prince philip and the queen argues.
They are just too perfect for one another and you can feel the love and connection between them.
Lovely onscreen couples.
The crown is 10/10.

I didn't continue it because I felt they would annihilate any vulgar scene making it a bit boring.
