Please house am having problem using the diamond bank app on my new phone I bought from a friend of my (curve 4),I went to the bank and I was given my ID,at first when I tried registering on the phone I keep receiving error massage that the phone as been registered with another customer that I should register on another device then login on my phone,I deleted the app downloaded another one but still same error then I format/erase the phone still same error,now I was able to borrow an android phone from a friend,downloaded the app and registered made some transaction then logout. Now back to my phone I tried login I was disappointed to see another error massage that New device detected,if I press ok it will take me back to the previous page,now my problem and complains are
1- why the error massage after all as been done?
2- why is the app connected to phones,what if a customers phone got stolen,lost or the battery is low and he/she wants to transact,why is it not possible to use another persons phone?
3- What's the essence of ID and password when u can't use the app on another phone?
In conclusion,I know am not the only one facing this problems and now that we are going cashless I think something should be done quickly.
My suggestion is that the app should be made accesable on compatible phones as long as a customer as his/her ID and password.
Please how can I rectify my own problem mentioned earlier. Thanks for your time.

Through wit my registration,pls if u hv any info pls share,if u wan scam or hv bad intentions pls dnt waste u time

so how did you later get around your problems. I am experiencing such now and there is no help from customer service.

Over problem

OP: your fone has to be configured at the bank, I guess it's their kind of security, you cannot just download their app and it works.

Even online banking (not thhe app) you cannot go to their website n access your account even if you have the requisite details till you apply from them first.

I have done transfers with the app countless times and the money neva reaches the person even after my aacc has been charged. Money usually returns after some days otherwise I go and complain and the rectify it.

DIAMOND bank mobile banking app should be tagged 'beta' as it really does not work so well everytime

If what OP described is exactly what u're experiencing, its very simple to sort out.
Open the app on ur new device
Don't enter ur login details, instead look for the icon "changed device"
Select and also select "register on a new device"
Then provide ur login details ; username, password and pin
Submit
You'll then receive(via SMS) a new registration code
Key in the registration code and you'll be logged in to the app.

It sounds strange that you were told to format ur phone at the bank

thats exactly what I am doing. but because somebody have already used the app on the phone previously, it telling me I can't use my account on the phone.

Oh ok!
Then get the person using the phone before to transfer his/her app to his/her new smartphone (ff the procedure already described) Once he/she does that, U'll just need to register ur own profile on the phone afresh.
I'm afraid that's the only way you can use ur account on the phone. In fact no amount of formatting will allow you register ur profile on the phone except the previous user transfers his/her profile to another phone.

I'm certain this will resolve the issue

I have the best solution to this problem and it's 100% working.

1. Launch the app
2. Go to register
3. Click on 'Register with Registration code'
4. Fill in your details when the page pops up
5. You'll receive a code via SMS through the number you opened your account with.
6. Fill in the Four digit code
7. Enjoy your e-banking transaction.
