Are you finding trouble seeing them in Booking.com?

For example - this new hotel - Villa Rosa Kempiniski Nairobi- maybe 4 yrs old - but was designed with victorian feel

The presidential suite here - will set you at nearly 10M naira per night.

forgiveness:

Show me your world class architectural design hotels and save us the noise. grin lying Kenyans here. grin

Even if you must built boxes and straight lines - at least make it as decent as Crowne Plaza Nairobi

Villa Rosa Kempinsiki Nairobi presidential suite will set you at nearly 10M naira!

I think we are wasting time here - I can debate South Africa or Egypt or even Tanzania on hotels - all your hotels are totally crap - infact the half decent one is single one I saw in Lagos.

Now you're showing an average looking hotel?

Just use booking.com as clue - Nigeria has 1,280 listed hotels - Kenya has 2,600 - more than twice your listed hotels.

KaziKazi - Kenya education systems - is AFRICA BEST - san Mauritus!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It also reflect in our Africa BEST HUMAN CAPITAL - our workers are africa smartest and most hardworking. That is why we are africa largest non-mineral economy and are kicking arse of these poor Nigerian despite them exporting 2M plus barrels of OIL anually.

To get a sense of Kenya’s historical overperformance, consider the 2007 results of standardised tests for sixth graders conducted by the Southern and East African Consortium for Monitoring Educational Quality. Kenya’s average score was 557 points. That’s well above South Africa’s average of 495 points. Kenyan children’s basic literacy and numeracy skills were stronger than South Africa’s.

Here are you masters South Africa - trying to figure out how to ape Kenya quality education

Thanks! I looked hard for this;which confirms the wisdom of our 844 and other education decisions. I still can't find any Africa specific PISA ranking-can you?

One reason why we don't sea eye to eye in architecture with Nigerians is that we don't go around putting up concrete monstrosities calling them magnificent buildings! Our structures look more Scandanavian and we give more detail to greenery, simplicity and functionality! This mall in Nigeria could have been a huge soulless box concrete structure with no flowers and lawns at all!

Those surveys are easily manipulated especially in Africa's setups. What is going on the ground is a different story altogether. Just check Kenyans chemistry final paper.this is how low it is considering its your final paper before going to varsity. In Tz this is form two paper

Re: Kenya Is Ahead of Nigeria In All Aspect (Facts Don't Lie) by rvp2018: 9:17am On Nov 10, 2018
Why are using all means to block kenyan proffesional from working in TZ. It's your poor education system that make your labour force noncompetitive and allow South Africans to ran roughshold over you and Nigerians

. If TZ companies were allowed to hire kenyans - they would fire the whole lot of you. Again you cannot nitpick exams questions - and use that judge our education systems. There are many metrics & indicators. Some are done by surveys. Most are real life - Kenyan proffesional are highly regarded!!

Education is like GDP. You cannot inflate it like Nigeria and get away with it. Our engineering and science graduates are all over your country dodging immigration officers because that price Tanzania companies are willing to go...than hiring an idiot from Tanzania who cannot comprehend BASIC ENGLISH.

My friend is somewhere in Serengeti now dodging TZ immigration as they design and build hotels for foreign companies.

When kenya well educated workforce shine - you comeback and claim - ohoo they love to kiss the arse of whites grin grin grin grin - that is why? No! They are well educated and prepped for 21st century competitive labour market.

I don't know how it's done in TZ but in Kenya KCSE entails all that is done from form one to form four.So you should see form two content in there.Remember chemistry has three papers. While some nations take three years at the university,Kenyans won't do less than 4,5 or 6 years depending on the course. This is why it is foolish to just compare papers.I don't think Yale got it wrong when it took more Kenyans than any other Africans to their Ivy League status University!

I think some were done in the past - what I recall Kenya was second to Mauritius. Definitely we invest heavily in education and this will pay off. I think we are now spending 4-5B dollars on education annually - Nigeria the whole damned nation - cannot even spend half that.

They are doing basic "kayole" type designs. You have to question the quality of their architects and builders.

The reason why some companies goes for a Kenyan employee is just the costs. Its cheaper for a Tanzanian company to employ a Kenyan than a local guy. Most of these Kenyans who work in Tz don't have protection. No Nssf,no medical fund, and mostly they even be paid in envelopes. Its simply a cheaper option.

The hotel is more beautiful than your concrete ugly dirty looking hotel.

Of course, it is the best you have hence the cost but the service, architecture and design is poo. grin

That is lame. One flight ticket alone would cover NSSF/Medical for 100 Tanzania employees. That is how desperate your companies esp foreign owned are for kenya proffesional. Your workforce is not only poorly educated, they are also lazy and have zero work ethic.

You'd think this was a render smiley .Please Kenya is so far ahead of Nigeria in matters architectural and so many other things.

You won't find Kenyan casual labourers in TZ but you'll see Tanzanian beggars(begging is a job category in TZ),masons and maids in Kenya, people who go there are professionals with rare skills. In payment terms, let us just not even go there. You basically pay peanuts! What's your lowest income figures ?

Another country that pays its workers peanuts just like Tanzania is Nigeria.Kenyan professionals would be better of in most Southern African countries(SA,Botswana and Namibia) and Nothern African countries like Egypt and Sudan.Seychelles and Mauritius too offer good wages.Kenyans would be open to work in these countries because the pay is decent likewise citizens from all this countries would work in Kenya because the salaries are good!

At least Tanzania pay the peanuts. Nigerians don't often get paid - it usual to find an employee with salary areas running months if not years. Those working for state gov especially. Leave alone pensioners. The nearest you can get such a situation is DRC. Nigerians have to wait for oil boom to get salary arrears - and when oil prices tank - the teeth gnashing starts.
