Stay in Nigeria and start a business. One million naira won't get you anything in neighboring African nations that you can't get here. In Ghana for instance, you need $300k to start a business as a Nigerian

With 1 million you can start a small 'calabar kitchen', a generator repair shop, or begin trading palm oil. All these are potentially very lucrative. Alternatively, you can invest that million in your education or get some certifications. NEBOSH, Welding, NDT sell like hotcake in the oil industry.

With only a million ($2500) and no backup, friends or relatives in a foreign land, you'll soon run out of money forcing you to either return home worse than you left or venture into crime to survive.

That's my view.

I would largely agree here. If you have any decent bit of money just stay in Nigeria and find something to do. Truth is, every other country makes life a bit harder for foreigners in order to protect their own.

But to advice you better, tell us what skills and resources you already have or what business you think you can do best. @ msytery22

most people will advise you as if they have travelled outside Nigeria with their personal funds before or hustled anywhere within Africa.

My brother one million is still a good run in any African country. most Nigerians travelled with less. I will advise you try any English speaking African country so you can blend in fast. If you have the skills or educational certificates, you can start making money instantly.

Mozambique will be a no for me .... as I have been there on numerous occasions, most Nigerians are into spare parts, cosmetics and mosquito/rat medicine....
Rent is like N30000 per month and the language is a huge barrier. Their ladies love Nigerians men though just to mention.
