Hello mamas, I write with so much sorrow in my heart. Please read to end and offer some advice coz I'm suicidal right now.
I got married in Nov 2015, got pregnant July 2016 and lost the baby as a result of IC in December 2016. I almost died from heartbreak. I had retained products and bled heavily in Jan 2017 till it was removed, I met with my husband March 2017 and conceived again, had a cerclage in June and all was well. All of a sudden I started contracting in September and lost the baby too a girl this time, almost lost my life coz I bled so much, was given 4pints of blood. Were it not for my hubby and God I would have gone insane, I cried my soul out. Had another retained product and it was removed late September.
I started having mucus discharge everyday, no period till Dec, I took primolut and started a regular 29 to 31days extremely scanty period but the mucus discharge never stopped till today. I see it everyday, worse after making love with hubby. I had a HSG in July which showed patent tubes with perifimbrial adhesion, had a Hydrotubation this month, took duphaston from CD 11 to 24, Bromergon too.
I started spotting yesterday brown and pink, no actual period, negative blood and urine test, mucus discharge never stops even in period. I've been crying since today, thinking of harming myself, will I ever be a mother?
Please I need hopeful advice, I'm all alone, feeling suicidal.

I join my faith with yours and soon it will happen. I stand in here for my sis who has been trying for over 2years, i pray God visits her soon as well.

I just wish this thread was the way it was cos i got my breakthrough from the contributions made here by some experienced mamas. It was way more lively and people were ready to answer questions. I don't know much myself. New mamas can use the search button, tons of issues have been dealt with here. Just saying that incase no one answers your questions.

Hi mamas, I have issues with my follicles they don't reach 18mm always btw 12-16mm. I have been on clomid for 6 cycles, I also had 150mg clomid with Hmg injection for 5 days then I had about 3 follicles with the dominant one measuring 16mm on CD12, although I wasn't given a trigger shot by my doctor. Mamas am tired of taking ve been on this wahala for 2yrs+ had to tell my Dr to allow me stop drugs for now. I have done HSG, HVS and hormonal assay. The HSG came out OK with both tubes patent, the HVS came out with E.coli btw 2-4 and in d assay progesterone level was around 12.2 (1.7 - 27.0). Am frustrated with all this, am open to all suggestions on what else to try. 2019 must not pass me by o.

And how else do I do away with the slimy discharge I get throughout my cycle? Each time I BD with DH I keep wiping so much mucus till like two days after. Even after taking duphaston my period is still very scanty.

yeah, best to get your self some education on ttc, so you can interact/discuss/challenge the docs beta.leaving everything to the docs usually doesnt fare well for the patient.

To God be ALL the glory, I got my BFP and a scan confirmed pregnancy at Olivebranch Lekki this week! grin This is coming after over 19 years of TTC that included several years of natural health therapies, countless IUI s, Clomid & TI cycles and 9 embryo transfers. This clinic has indeed become my last TTC ‘bus stop’ as I had prayed and hoped.

My sisters-in-waiting, it was God’s mercy at work. What I think also helped me was:

*RESEARCH, research & more research! Pls. don’t put yourself 100% in ANY doctor’s hands without researching your options & being able to request whatever will benefit you.
*Doing a vagisteam before starting meds. Combined dried herbs like basil, motherwort, rosemary & mugwort (obtained from Alade market Ikeja)
*Insisting on the cancellation of the penultimate scheduled embryo transfer when my lining refused to grow beyond 7mm (many other Drs.' would have railroaded and gone ahead anyway, just hoping to get 'lucky' as they sometimes do for even much thinner linings.) In this successful cycle my lining was 9.4mm before intro of progesterone & 11.1mm on day of Embryo Transfer.
*Doing needle acupuncture EVERYDAY in the 12 days before the embryo transfer (was able to fit in a session on the very morning as the transfer was done in the afternoon) using acu-points that aid blood flow to uterus.(located my Lagos acupuncture clinic thru online research)
*Using Viagra cream - not tablets, vaginally (sourced from a Canadian Dr. in Malaysia and Bricanyl tablets (from Alpha) for about 11 days - also to increase blood flow. ; in fact Dr. Emeka agreed to delay down regulation, giving me 2nd shot of Zoladex after expiration of 1st one, in order for me to receive the Viagra parcel (research also shows though more expensive, Zoladex gives higher success rates than daily Buserelin injections)
*Castor oil pack on tummy almost daily for about two weeks
*Daily sitz baths (alternating sitting in hot & cold water), sometimes twice daily, stopping 2 days before the transfer – also to increase blood flow.
*Sometimes soaking feet in hot water for 20 minutes, before bed (also to increase blood flow to uterus)
*Day 21 Endometrial Scratch (had also done one before at another clinic the previous year)
*Femoral massage: got hubby to press artery for me at least once daily & at the clinic just before the transfer
*Having intralipid drip at the clinic one week before the transfer - with the general absence of availability of immune tests in this country, it’s a good safeguard whether or not your body actually needs it.
*Daily eating 5 Brazil nuts (ASDA uk) before transfer & throughout 2 week wait. Was able to get pineapple only on 4th day after transfer so ate its core only on Days 4 & 5..
*Doing a deep tissue body massage 2 days before the transfer (got a bargain package – there are several, on dealdey site)
*Insisting on Day 5 transfer: after so many past failures and disappointments, I had made up my mind after research that even if all our embryos appeared to be struggling, no Day 2 or 3 transfer; if they all died before Day 5, so be it. Luckily we had 90% ICSI fertilisation and all made it to blast.
*After the transfer, taking DAILY injections (with Dr’s permission) of 100mg Gestone in addition to clinic’s 2x 400mg cyclogest; quite painful & bum already feels like a pin cushion but for me no sacrifice is too much. Clinics here do not do regular hormone checks for levels after the transfer so it makes me feel safer. I’m also prepared to endure the daily injections for as long as necessary!
*Just before the transfer, requested & got a picture of our embryos which I used as a point of contact in prayer.

What I’ve learnt (the hard way) on my long, long TTC journey:
No doctor, spouse, family or friend, can desire my success more than my own self: I am my own best advocate! My sisters, despite glowing recommendations of any fertility clinic/Dr, do your own research. Never be afraid to ask questions and always try to go with your gut feelings; run/’talk to your feet’ if you have integrity concerns about any of them; I have also learned that though often tedious and inconvenient, it pays to try to prepare as much as one humanly can (castor oil, massage, foot soak, etc), before the embryo transfer and above all, to always pray for God’s mercy & intervention.

Try the chinese teas for the slimy discharge. it could be of help. Try serrapeptase along with the chinese teas for the perifimbrial adhesions as well. After a while you can repeat the HSG to check if everything is clear. You may also use clean point tampons if you're comfortable with it. Ruzu bitters may also work. Those are the remedies I have used and GOD used to clear my tubes and discharge. Baby dust.

The chinese teas are yi mu cao and xi xian cao, you use them together along with serrapeptase and stop before ovulation, two or three times daily if you also want to use ruzu bitters, it should be on a different cycle, but you can use ruzu bitters along with serrapeptase, you insert the clean point tampons three days after your menstrual cycle for three to five days. I believe it will help by God's grace. I didn't have slimmy discharge but some watery discharge sometime ago, but all that is gone now.

Your scanty period is due to the adhesion. You need to discuss with your gynea on that. He/she might consider hysteroscopy. For the mucus discharge, use combo; ginger, garlic, tumeric nd clove.

Interesting, you need to lessen the stress in your life, since it appears that you've missed the point. As usual, I got a rise in my mentions from the unusual places, usually from this thread and the JAMB one.

Good evening mamas in the house, the God of the Eleventh hour will surely visit us with our heart desires.
Please concerning our prayer and fasting, I welcome contributions from everyone, how do you want us to do it.
I have some suggestions. I would have love it to be a Whatsapp praying group, but we have to do it here because of some of us that are on guest mode, and for future needs as well.

Please lets agree on a day or two in the month that we can fast and pray, or we divide ourselves into groups, if some people fast on Tuesday, some will do so on Wednesday, if we can fast a Day in a week like that, that means someone somewhere is interceding on our behalf.
On prayers, let's agree on which days and time to use and we will all be on line to start the prayer and to round it up.
We can pray by dropping prayer points, you pink a prayer point at random but not yours, you pray for the person, prayer for yourself and then we all conclude.


Please let's suggest way forward on this.

Back to you ma, sometime early this year too I was diagnosed with bilateral tubal blockage with adhesions. Prior to that, my period reduced to just 2-3days and the quantity of blood no dey full pad sef even at CD2 unlike before. But then I was ovulating and just wasn't taking in. Since your period fluctuates between 29-31 some gyns won't term it as irregular. People still ovulate with scanty periods.
On the question :you can google "duphaston Vs primolut n " to weigh the options. Some doctors also use OCPs to correct periods. Personally I'd go with my Dr's prescription.

Sorry for your losses, I've had some too with failed TVCs so I understand what you're going through a little. Relax... Yes I said that.... And take things little by little and in no time we'd all have our miracles.

After 5 months i went to do scan there i saw one small fibroid rearing its ugly head i became scared. The lab guy called it seedling of fibroid. I went for repeat scan 5 months later to see if its growing but it was the same seedling.

It made my discharge strechy for all my CD days. I stopped the drug then decided to bed dh the whole of August like after my Menses, the bdding commenced. It wasnt easy at all but guess what, after all the bedding my period came. I was very disappointed and i wept like a baby. So i read that mamas can determine their most fertile days using the basal body temperature,i went to the pharmacy to get one, that was were i met my helper!!!!
The pharmacist asked to sit down, we spoke and she prescribed some drugs for myself and dh. I was worried and didnt want to take the drugs cause i was scared and i dont any drug to increase the seedling of fibroid. She confirmed that it will not affect it rather it will help balance my homones. Cell gevity, Addyzoa and b complex for dh while m2tone, cell gevity and b complex for me. A pack of cell gevity and m2tone has 30 capsules one for each i took the drugs for 45 days and dh did not finish his cell gevity but he finished the Addoyzoa and b complex. When it was time for AF to show i was looking for it. I missed it for 5 days when i did urine test i saw two lines staring at me... I couldn't believe it. I had buy extra pt strips did it again 2 lines for all the pt strips.

Also we did fasting and prayers while taking the drugs and prayed that this will work and asked for God's Mercy on us.
