If a lady is called to serve fatherland and peradventure, pregnancy has already set in, they should give them a break while paying them allowee. Will they wait after service while their ovaries are aging? A woman is a flower and if she is married, let her take in asap! After all, she is through with academic work. Who NYSC help, if not just allowee?

You lack wisdom.

Useless post but I still have something to say;

Pregnancy is a thing of joy not a predicament.

You can skip the program till you're done nursing your child.

A scheme prepared to familiarize Nigerian graduates with other parts of the country and prepare them physically through military exercises.

Should pregnant women also involve in any of the activities or should not even report to the camp?

What's ur opinion

Is pregnancy a contagious disease or a disability?

To me, they should be given discharge certificate , what is the essence of coming to camp without going through all the drills, it makes no sense.

It's strange to me. During our time there was pregnancy test before you are allowed to register.

Na mumu dey serve.
You risk your life for nothing and waste a whole year. Smh

70% of politicians don't serve. 90% of those who serve will never need the certificate. Useless scheme.

There's nothing reasonable or logical about bringing a child to the world when there's no immediate guarantee of a job or a good paying job after nysc.things are getting more expensive. House rent, bills and childcare expense is not a joke whether you're married with a husband, married but living like a widow or a single mother. Relying on a paltry government alawee to sustain you and your pregnancy is more like signing up yourself for graduate unemployment. Issues like this are basic common sense.even if you decide to be self employed its not any different. For goodness sake how much is condom?

I see young single mothers living in absolute poverty and relying on tips and stipends from well wishers and even become vulnerable to sexual exploiters out of desperation to escape the poverty trap just because they couldn't be sexually responsible or use morning after pills when their runaway NysC lovers ejakulated inside their vajyna

Some of them become so broke and poor that the poverty rips off every beauty they had in school or NYSc that they begin to look like people who didn't even finish secondary school

Women be financially stable before allowing a man to get you pregnant MARRIED OR NOT.

I'm not necessarily saying you should become millionaires or engage in criminal activities but be well established such that whether a man is there for your child or not you're well equipped to take care of your child. Have a planned parenthood, not accidental parenting
Children's school fees is skyrocketing by the day
Baby diapers monthly are expensive, baby clothes are as expensive as adult clothes. Being a mother in poverty or unemployment is HORROR.married or not.in fact if you are married you're a viable tool for physical, emotional, psychological and verbal abuse constantly because you rely on another person for survival and he sees you more as a burden or nuisance. Then as a single mother you're a good target for people capitalizing on your financial helplessness

all pregnant women are given preferential treatment while on camp. immediately you are done with registrations, you'll be deployed to the state of your choice and be issues your main allowance and transportation allowance.

if you choose to remain for the camp exercise, you are on your own.
