At least it's on record that the change your alliance brought was far worse than the one pdp brought.

And shame on you because it was a Yoruba man who was president for 8 years of PDP mismanagement.

The shame is on you

Nzeogwu was not the mastermind. It was Ifeajuna.
Who was Ifeajuna working for in that coup?

Wow thank God for Nairaland. I never knew that people hate other people like this. Fulani herdsmen are killing. Hausa are fighting with the military and its the igbos you decided to hate today.. wow..

The only tribe that talks about the past are igbos, they can't seems to move forward cos they r stuck in the past. They love to use their failure to blame us yorubas instead of facing hausas . They know they cant face hausas or else they r dead. They look for the easiest accommodating people who they can put their frustrations on. we yorubas have seen their insults and we won't take it any longer. YORUBAS have been the middle man in this nation also trying to find a common ground for both hausas and igbos. If we go for hausas, igbos will hate us, if we go for igbos, hausas will talk him own. Hausas r nice people and they r way better than igbos in character and morals. Igbos better be careful cos they will find yorubas against them in this country and it won't be pretty for them.
You see we can't move forward as a country if we don't get back on drawing board collectively, and genuinely discuss on how to get the country working for everybody and not only for the few elites, or particular tribe(s).

Don't forget we were all scrambled together by the British for the ease of governing us and not for any other useful purpose. We didn't really choose who were married to neither did we choose who colonised us.

Being what it is, and after the colonial master have left, we have not succeeded to get along together, mainly because of military misadventures. Rather we were torn apart further.

But we can't keep on shying away from solving this key collective problem of distrust and to an extent lack of patriotic leaders. And this core problem which was a sore in our national conscience have gotten so badly infested that we are currently battling for survival.

This is not where we ought to be after more than 5 decades as a nation and we are here spending so much energy fanning the ember of "disintegration" rather than "integration".

I'm worried about Nigeria and why we are so pretentious and hopeful of good tomorrow without any concrete plans or effort to solve today's problems.

Have you send this comment to your igbo brothers n sisters here. If not, im guessing you r part of the problem and you r igbo. You are still going round and round and not going straight and talking of integration and problems of NIGERIA. Pls which tribe integrates more with other tribes than any tribe in Nigeria? You will see a typical yoruba man marry from any tribe in this nation but hausas and igbo men cannot do that. YORUBAS don't have problem with any tribe and I'm sure they also are trying to survive like the rest of the nation. Coming here to insult a tribe because you feel they are joining hands with hausas whereas you are doing the same to get a VP ticket. Why are they angry when they caused the first problem in Nigeria? Why are they angry when PDP was governing, they excluded Yorubas from top positions even in the United States embassy in New York. Jonathan regime was terrible for YORUBAS, i remember trying to renew my passport in New York and the igbos that were at the embassy were giving passports and visas to their igbo men and women. In fact once you r igbo, You can jump the line and get your passport faster than anybody. To get your passport on time was a big problem. They ridicule anyone that is not igbo. The stupid thing is the embassy folks were speaking igbo to their tribe folks while they know they ought to be professional and speak English. Observing their population, i noticed only one yoruba man that was among them. The embassy was chaos everytime i went there, even White people were there and shaking their heads. So my friend, just from that how can you tell me of integration when a tribe is tribalistic against others. Sorry if they want integration, they need to get out of that evil shell of hate and divisiveness.

Shut up who started the coup no be you igbos. Until igbos apologizes to hausas and yorubas for killing their generals in that coup. They will not have peace in Nigeria. ...I know igbos will not do that , they r pompous to humble themselves but they want other people to show humility to them. If you noticed, I was very careful not to mention tribes because all of them are guilty in one way or the other, of what Nigeria is today. It is a collective failure! None of us is saint especially if you've travelled round Nigeria.

I'm not here to cast stones, for the mere fact that Nigeria itself, unfortunately is a forced alliance. My emphasis is more about solutions, solutions, solutions...on how to get Nigeria moving in the right direction. We have pretended too much while fire is burning under our couch.

If WE keep on whining till eternity and as well hope for the best to come it will never come. But if we decide and put a stop and start fashioning out a system that will work for everyone, then there might not be time and energy spent on tirades about tribes. We should grow beyond tribes and rather look at how to fight poverty that ravages all tribes. Don't be carried by what you read on social media.

Let's be honest for the past 5 decades we're still rotating in one spot. It's not about tribe A, tribe B, tribe C, etc but more of getting to our feet and help ourselves.
