Apart from say people never chop, it sure seems it's not our culture to be looking trim through exercising. It's alien to us, when you're looking trim, you're underfed....but when you're 'round', you're enjoying.....that's the orientation. |

You can imagine how many are turning the topic into jokes. And you wonder why our youth are dying after "brief illnesses"! I cannot tell the benefit that keeping fit (personal gym) has done for me! Years ago, 5years to be precise, it was really difficult. But with personal discipline and willingness, my day is almost empty without my 90monster minutes (as I call my fitness time). I even create time at midnight (to deal with the possibility of no time in the day) The benefit to the mind, the body, you can't underestimate its benefits. |

How can you see people trying to keep fit when they are not sure of the next meal. That's why they eat anything to keep body and soul together, and it's only carbohydrates that are readily available. |

[quote author=Nbote post=72883009]Na who don chop dey find fitness.. Poverty will help U stay fit whether U want to or not.. Running out of money is exercise on its own.. Most Nigerians have a daily routine which involves 1. Trekking/Running to catch a bus 2. Starting their generator 3. Running up and down staircases 4. Riding okada or keke on a bad and bumpy road 5. Knacking 6. Dancing (especially with d kind of crazy dance steps our science teacher artistes always come up with... So whixh other exercise again we need abeg[/quoteI tire o, me wey dey ride bicycle from Igando to Festac everyday, which fitness pass dat one] |

Nbote:Oga please. Please. That you are physically fit does not mean you should not be spiritually and mentally fit. I spoke in context of the topic given. Stop going around looking for stupid argument sessions. Any good physical instructor will tell you the importance of the other two- while getting your physical strength goals. Physical fitness is not all about lifting weights around. There is plenty of mind working and personal discipline involved. |

Sijo01:You have said it all We don't have time for exercise As early as 5am you are already on the road which means you must have woken up by 4am From your house, you will trek to the bustop, get to work and start work. In the course of your work you get tensed up and go into stress mode By the time you close is 6pm.,you trek to the bustop and get home by 9pm This is a regular routine Monday to Saturday Then on Sunday you go for service come back take lunch start preparing for the week This is how you will keep subjecting your self to life turbulence until you retire With all this Mary go round, where and when will you create time for exercise? This is the only way an average Nigeria will do exercise |
