Grammy Awards set to consider Nigerian artistes, Adekunle Gold, Yemi Alade & Burna Boy for nominations

Some top Nigerian artistes, such Adekunle Gold, Yemi Alade & Burna Boy are set to be considered for a Grammy Award come 2019.

It’s more recognition for Nigerian artistes, Adekunle Gold, Yemi Alade, Burna Boy as they’re being considered to be nominated for the upcoming 61st Grammy Awards.

The above mentioned Nigerian artistes would be nominated in the ‘Best World Music Album’ category. This follows earlier news that Seun Kuti picked up a Grammy nod for his album ‘Black Times’.

Top Nigerian entertainment consultant and A&R Bizzle Osikoya let out the news which as also confirmed by MTV Base VJ Ehiz.

the other two but burna boy? a good one by the way but still their more grounded Nigeria artist with better African content not relegating gold & yemi they are representing the African brand well.

Burnaboy deserves it.
Behind those thick dreads and gangster personality you will find reasoning in his lyrics.

Adekunle is also a worthy mention.

I remember when some of us were hoping the likes of 2baba, D'banj, P-square, and MI would get nominated... Then hardwork and talent were topnotch, Albums were lit, hit tracks dey reign reach 2 years sef.

These newbies are trying sha...but nothing like the golden era...These legends have my respect anytime any day. Them still dey even drag am small small with the newbies sef.

Listening to one love by 2baba right now and I am asking why baba didn't get any nomination.

What about wizkid, Davido and tekno

I've always said it that wizkid and davido are mediocrities especially davido.

Davido is just like Cardi B this two has zero talent in music but if god says you will blow nothin can stop you whether you have talent or not.

Davido has zero vocals, lyrically he's zero, his beats are mostly wack Cardi B on the other hand doesn't rap infact Cardi B isn't a rapper she's a talker she talks she doesn't rap.
She's one of the worst emcee's i've ever seen she's nothin compared to jean grae, missy elliot, eve, remy ma, lil kim or even the recent emcee's steff london, nicki minaj, iggy.

This just shows that Gods grace and luck beats talent.
