Govt schools are free in Nigeria up to secondary level and our tertiary institutions are extremely cheap.
Yes rural dwellers do not need to spend money everyday like people in the cities, so judging them purely on monetary bases is not fair.

If they can get the proper amenities from the government, they would be able to produce more food crops and sell them easily. So, I'm still saying the same thing. They are not poor. Not when they have access to acres of fertile farmlands.
