What's wrong with the title?
But they will accept Sarki hausawa or mai angwa. Ignorance is really a disease.
mumu like you. Sarki is just a normal name compare to the titles of Sultan and Emir. Have u ever seen a northerners in Southwest or Southeast/south calling themselves Emir of Lagos, IMO, River, Benin, Ibadan, Onitsha etc?

The Chairman, traditional rulers council of Cross River State, His Majesty, Chief (Dr) Etim Okon Edet has released a press statement warning the Igbo Community in Cross River State to desist from its plan installation and coronation of Sir E. A Ezenwenyi (KSS, KSM, JP) as the Eze Ndi Igbo of Cross River State.

In a statement released on the 13th of November, 2018, the traditional rulers council suggested that the Igbo Community in Cross River State are free to choose such other title that reflects the association but not one which is reserved for traditional rulers in igboland.

The traditional rulers council advised the Igbo Community to use such titles as president, chairman, etc, but not necessarily, Eze Ndi Igbo of Cross River State.

The press statement was co-signed by HRM, Barr. (Dr) Patrick Oqua Agbor.

That press statement is attached below.
wait a minute, is President or Chaiman lgbo words?

Why are Igbos always having issues everywhere they go? Akure, Lagos, North and now Cross River.

They export troubles to Vietnam, India, Asia and even South Africa (Bishop & Co)

As usual, the Fulanis and Yorubas are to blame.

Because that's what you and your likes want and desire. But the fulanis who take pics with the dead bodies of their victims are peaceful people, correct.
No probs, the fulanis will spread their "peace" to your household and take selfies.

And again, nobody wants trouble around him, nobody wants anything whatsoever to do with trouble. So why do you naijiriya lose sleep over Kanu/upon/igbos,why not grant them their wish to cut out so you all be free from troublesome people?

We thank prophet mohammed (SAW) for sowing the seed of discord among SE and SS. This mean that Cross river will vote for our sai buhari and not Atikwu the Ibo man. grin cheesy

Our yoruba skulls hereby rejoices and becomes glad in him. Let us dance owambe.

What about the indigenous igbos people that were carved into crossrivers state during state creation. Doesn’t that mean that they cant have eze in their ancestral land.

These people need to calm down with igbophobia and leave it for losers. Igbophobia has a tendency to blind people because it is driven by blind hate.

Fellow igbos should Join the conversation at www.igbo-unity.com

You need to blame Ohaneze Ndi Igbo why are they not including igbos in Akwa Ibom and Cross river whenever they are talking about Ndi Igbo in South South. Igbo people in Akwa Ibom are more than Ijaw people in Ondo and Edo combined together but you see Ijaw people always include their brothers in Edo and Ondo state . That's one of the reason i'm angry with Nnamdi Kanu and Ipob the keep on including other ethnic groups into Biafra map even when they same people have warned them so many times to desist from including them in Biafra map . Even Ralph uwazuruike have stop deceiving himself by not including South-South in Biafra Map again.

You are a bigger mumu if you think Sarki which means king in Hausa and Eze which means King in Igbo language is abnormal while Sarki is Normal.
I really pity your stupidity.
Did u see anyone bearing Obi of Ibadan, ondo or kano?

I think it doesn't matter and its not a threat to the people of CRS...even in Canada and usa igbos do have such tittles.

It will a threat if they have obong oseni or any tittle reserved for crs chiefs

Nigeria is a useless country.. Imagine Americans threatening igbos becus of a mere title with no political value.

When I get to meet my creator, He will tell me why he chose to make me a title..

In as much as I am sentimentally attached to the igbos, I stand with my traditional rulers. You can call it any other title, not Eze ndigbo of cross River. Let's look at it from the opposite angle.

Your Majesty , don't worry yourself too much about the title. They said Exe ndigbo of Cross Rivers...not the non Igbos.Besides, the title does not threaten anybody..your interference is productive of idleness... concentrate on freeing your people from the shackles of economic degradation.

ur ignorance couple with tribalism is highly legendary .
Have u ever heard of Emir of Cross river? Or sultan of cross river?,probably oba of cross river?
Those are the kind of title in contention here.
The major problem the yebo have is,they want to go anywhere and own it outrightly and start treating the rest of the people like second class citizens.
Tell this to the rest of ur kind, the bible says-pride comes before a fall
