Travellers with Nigerian passport needs a British transit visa to transit in the UK. The only exemption I know of is if the traveller holds a residence permit within the EU issued under article 10 of directive 2004/58/EC.

Amongst other things, Transit visa is a measure put in place to prevent people seeking asylum in the airport, as a means to enter the country. And as international law requires, a country can not refused an asylum seeker right to have his case assessed. A transit visa is a strategic measure to determine the likelihood of that happening.

Its applicable to multiple visas either in UK, US or Canada

As for Turkey, if u have UK, US, Irish or Scheghen Visas, u can even apply online for a 1 time entry E-Visa valid for 90 days from date of issue. The official amount for the E-Visa is 42 USD with a service charge of 2 USD but there are other affiliate websites who have a higher service charge o its best u apply directly through the Turkish Foreign Ministry website

Did you know that your US visa can take you into many other countries? I shared this info yesterday and people were shocked. If you have a US visa, why not use it to full capacity?

These are lists of countries you can visit with a US, UK or Canadian visa.

1. MEXICO

My dear friends, you can enjoy delicious margaritas, tacos (ooh yum), pristine resorts, bring telenovelas to life and Mexican festival fantasies for up to 180 days as long as you have a valid multiple entry visa into the US.

Visas Allowed: US visa.

2. COSTA RICA

This country is a paradise for anyone who loves nature and adrenaline. From tropical rainforests to white-water rafting to high wire activities and some of the most refreshing resorts tucked in nature, Costa Rica is a country worth going to.

Visas Allowed: US and Canadian visas.

3. TURKEY

Thinking of thermal springs in Pamukkale or ancient Mediterranean cultures, you just might want to try Turkey. With good flight routes, you can get your visa on arrival if you have certain visas on your passport.

Visas Allowed: US, UK, Schengen and Irish visas.

4. BELIZE

I bet you don't think of Belize when you long for eye-popping carnivals and bright blue waters. Now you should because with certain visas on your passport, you can tick off bucket list items in Belize.

I stopped vacationing in Florida because it is less costly to go to the Caribbean. Cancun, Jamaica, and the Dominican Republic I have been to. I like Punta Cana the most. All inclusive resorts offer a lot of value.

Very informative. However, Nigeria is one of the very few countries whose citizens are not allowed into South Korea (for a 30 day stay) while in possession of a valid US visa.

We also have some visa free countries for Nigerians. Maybe like 45 or 46 visa free countries for Nigerians but they're mostly countries people hardly visit and travelling to other african countries can be expensive too.
