Oviecardealer Seamlessly Delivers A Car To Me From Cotonou by 2zona(m): 2:12pm On Nov 15, 2018 |
So I was set to purchase a car from Cotonou as I was discouraged from buying accidented cars that flood the Lagos auto market. While doing my research, I ran into a thread: https://www.nairaland.com/2422759/cars-successfuly-imported-cotounu-delivered. At first I was sceptical and not convinced as any body can post any information online, but with further due diligence and upon careful examination and analysis of several other post by the poster Oviecardealer, I discovered he is operating under a registered company name which I personally searched and verified on Corporate Affairs Commission website. So my mind was made up and I decided to engage his service. We arranged for a meeting in his office, where he explained in details how he operates. We reached an agreement and few days after, both of traveled to Cotonou and with his assistance, advice, experience together with his partners in cotonou, I made my choice and full payment and thereafter went back to Lagos. And true to his words as agreed, my car was delivered to my place in 3 days time with Tin can island originated complete and original verifiable customs papers. I must commend this man. He is a real pro in what he does and his customer service is top notch as he places customer satisfaction ahead of his personal gains. Many thanks bro.

2zona: ...and your solution was to go to Cotonou? That's rather odd. 2zona: So you purchased a vehicle from Cotonou and imported it into Nigeria, which is currently against Nigerian regulations by the way, and this vehicle was delivered to you with "Tin can island originated complete and original verifiable customs papers"? Did your contact ever mention to you at any point the legality of the entire transaction and process? Did you ever stop to consider how he procured customs papers for a vehicle that was essentially smuggled into the country, which declare that it was shipped in legally? Someday the dam is bound to break. Hope and pray you're not in the path of the avalanche when it cascades over you and your esteemed benefactor. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Cosplay: Mr English, ask questions if you don't understand. The papers are genuine and valid. You declare the car to custom through agents. I no get time to chat....the agents here know what I am talking about... |

Cosplay: Young man, i dont know the basis of your argument but all i know is that i paid the exact amount of custom duty payable as a car that was shipped from anywhere in the world. The custom papers were taken to cotonou before the car was driven through all the borders and across all the customs check points on the road. In case you dont know, there are many ways to kill a rat. 2 Likes |

luxy44: Mr no-time agent, you have zero ideas about what I may or may not understand. Things may work out better for you if you occasionally attempt to use the sense evolution bestowed on you. 2zona: Old man, congratulations. With any luck we will be here when the rat morphs into a hyena. Time will tell. 9 Likes 1 Share |

If you are so sure of this crappy deal of yours, hop into that vehicle and take a drive to the east or north. That will be the last of this vehicle if another customs command set eyes on this vehicle. You have procured legal documents for an illegal transaction. 2 Likes |

It is baffling how a vehicle imported on the sea to Cotonou is issued customs documents in Tin can Island Port? First of all the bill of lading, the bill of sale, the invoice, rotation number, port of discharge and any legal documentation relating to this car will read Cotonou. Secondly importation of vehicles through land borders has been illegal for over a year now. Thirdly to pay customs duty on this Cotonou vehicle at Tin Can Island Port will require forgery of all the above mentioned documents to read Tin Can Island. Something that can be unraveled by any diligent officer along the road in seconds It is pertinent to note that your so called payment at Tin Can Island does not protect your vehicle from seizure as it has been fraudulently imported because of the falsification of documents. Yes the Customs and Excise management act (CEMA) has a whole section dedicated to falsification of documents and do you know the penalty? Forfeiture to the Federal government. Be wise, do not allow a fraudulent clearing agent to take you for a ride. Goggle customs and Excise management act. It is on the internet. CEMA chapter 1 sections 46,47,63 and 64. https://www.google.com.ng/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://www.customs.gov.ng/Statutory/management_act.php&ved=2ahUKEwiQ277c1djeAhVQOMAKHZoaAxMQFjAAegQIARAB&usg=AOvVaw1kxuFzEq43XabnDg4TZDct 1 Like |

luxy44: 2zona: See these ignorant ones. If you like, let the customs duty be 10 Naira and you paid 11 Naira, your 11 Naira was paid on an illegal item brought on criminally. Importation through land borders is banned and Oviecardealer is a criminal. If customs catch you with that vehicle, it won't do December in your house, it's bye bye forever. Better put that car on taxify and never let the vehicle go to Badagry side or outside Lagos. |

Dantedasz: Oviecardealer would end up in prison very soon. He's a smuggler who forges documents for customs clearance and commits perjury by misleading customs officers with intention to deceive and defraud the government. All the money he has made from smuggling cars and giving false information to customs officers won't be enough to even hire a good lawyer. |

luxy44: If you don't understand what I implied, I'm not surprised you can't understand how the acts of smuggling and perjury are crimes. Let me break it down to your level: If you lie to get CofO, they would nullify the CofO. If you lie to process your car papers, they should seize your vehicle and you're liable to imprisonment. If you still don't understand it, get someone to interprete my post into your native language. 1 Like |

My own issue is why even open a thread to praise someone over a deal when the person has his own thread. Why not just go to the dealer's thread and post an appreciation message? Also the Op got a car for almost 2million,when legally imported Tokunboh of same make and year u can get for at most N1.6m in Lagos. Op ended up achieving nothing in this thread but to show his gullibility in all aspects of this deal. 4 Likes 1 Share |
