Peter Obi Apologises To Kemi Adetiba After Been Harassed At Lagos Airport by Mrcomedimatic(op): 2:00pm On Nov 15, 2018

Vice Presidential aspirant Peter Gregory Obi has reacted to the thread shared by filmmaker Kemi Adetiba in which she accused customs officers at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, of harassment and attempted extortion.

According to the filmmaker, she was disrespected by customs officers when their attempt to bully her and shake her down for money didn't work.

Following her experience, Ms Adetiba lamented about the state of affairs in Nigeria and how corruption has eaten so deep.

In reply, Peter Obi apologised to her for her experience and suggested what can be done to make things better.

He wrote:

Hello Kemi. Congratulations on your blockbuster film, #KingOfBoys. I’m sorry you went through that experience. I agree that things can be better. How? Press RESET on service reforms by retraining public servants to serve, rather than harass Nigerians and visitors.

Peter Obi, the man with the Midas touch. Believe the hype all the way. He's definitely going to effect the reset button as he said. I remember his manifesto back in 2003 that said if he did not pay workers at least two days before the end of the month he will resign. Anambra workers truly tasted the best of happiness when he came on board. Transparency and accountability became a watchword in every ministry in the state.

Trump don use twitter teach everybody campaign Format. Mscheew!! Customs need better pay and not retraining. A strategic agency like customs shouldn't be held by underpaid qouta system products. Those bribe taking airport customs officers got motivated by Atiku, if he could turn a billionaire for serving 20 years in customs, nothing stops them
