Web Developers, I Need Advice On How To Relate With A Nagging Client. by Kaylhey20: 9:39am On Nov 16, 2018
Good morning my fellow programmers, there is an issue I want you guys to reason with me most especially web developers.

I built a website for one guy early this year around February. After completing this website, I showed the guy and he said that he likes it. Then like a month after, this guy said he wants a total change of everything in the website. OK oo I did exactly as he wanted. After then, he calls me at least twice a week about one change and another. And will keep on complaining if I didn't do it quickly. It got to extent that I had to block his number because the nagging was too much.

And like after a month, he called me with another number and the disturbance continued. Presently, I am getting tired of this guy. Because I don't know how someone will be so confused that he will change the whole content of his website at least every month.

I need advise from experienced web developers on his to relate with this guy OR is this how client normally disturb web developers?. I am confused ooo....

Shout at him!

Invite him to meet up with you and if he agrees, drop a heavy punch on his neck when you meet. That would make him understand you are not a weak nigga. angry

Its a Nigerian problem. I think its always better to state from the start in clear terms(written) the requirement of the project. If the client wishes to make any changes after you have done your work, you bill them extra. Once they know you will be billing them for any additional work or change, they likely will behave themselves. Dont be afraid to drop a client, if you dont work well together they probably will find someone who will work well with them.

You made a mistake at the beggining I think. You would have told him initially to put all he wants into writing before you started developing the website. That's gow every Developer should behave otherwise, your clients will just be changing languages every now and then but if you have written agreement, that will curb the excesses of both parties. What you can do now is ask him to put what he wants into writing and when he does, tell him your price and do it for him if he pays.

Its simple, tell him that you would be working and updating the site once every month for 5k per month.
How can you be giving out your knowledge, skill, time and resources with no adequate compensation.
Reason like an enterprenuer bro.

This is developer abuse. Bring down the site and take hold of your property. Infact end every business with him and move on. He would beg you. Show him the other side of you. Any further business have to be on paper.

Thanks but at the beginning this guy wrote all the contents of the website which I followed. I think the mistake I made was not having a written agreement.
