Soaking is accurate. For one to drink garri it has to come as a liquid in the first place. Since that isn't the case then one 'soaks' it in water to aid them 'drink' it. This is Nigeria, though. To 'drink' garri is part of our lingo. You can use it and no one will fault you. |
