I don't share that sentiment. There are other good brand of cars. It depends on what you want. But comparing a benz to a jap all things been equal is not being objective.

You offered no tips whatsoever. Not that it matters, I'm done with used cars, like a decade ago. I want to wake up in the morning with my work in mind, not my car. And I want to get in and go at a moments notice.
