Outgoing Osun state governor, Rauf Aregbesola has spoken extensively about his administration as governor of the state , making some claims in the process.

The governor said this during a Twitter chat themed #Ogbenitilldaybreak.

“The State feeds me, fuels my car and covers my other expenses. This is why I see no reason to earn a salary.
I have no house save the one I built before I became governor of Osun” he tweeted.

The outgoing governor also said that he has not bank account anywhere in the world even as governor of the state.

“I have no bank account anywhere in the world.
I have not earned a dime in salary since I became governor and I do not intend to so do. “

While speaking about his successor who is expected to take over on November 27, he described him as a very cool man with no swagger of his own calbre
“Gboyega Oyetola is a cool, calm and brilliant goal getter, but he is not a radical like me. He does not have my swagger but he is an extremely cerebral human being.” he said refering to Mr Oyetola.

The eight year tenure of Mr Aregbesola was filled with controversies and difficulty in paying workers’ salaries .
Although he has been applauded for his Education policies in parts of the state

This is the kind of rubbish I totally do not like to hear. The kind of thing revolving round elements of this administration. The false narrative, the fake sainthood....

For heavens sake you were elected to better the lot of your people, not elected not to steal. That is a negative sentiment that profits no one. Are your people richer or poorer than when you met them sir. That is the barometer of public economic service. The desire to elect politicians of credibility and probity is simply the desire to have men and women who have no greed inherent in them but will focus on their tasks of delivering the dividends of democracy. If you are not stealing but mismanaging honestly it is equally useless to the electorate and tantamount to failure.

Politicians round the world get relected or dethroned at the polls based pn performance alone. When they steal they are removed midterm. So not stealing is of no electoral value in modern societies and vibrant democracies. Sorry sir, but electorates round the world are notoriously selfish. It is what affects them personally that matters to them.

just learn how to appreciate someone for doing good. If he decides to receive salary for 8 year nobody can take him for that because, is constitutional. 600k * 12=7200000. Then multiply by 8 = 57600000. This money can do something I the state. Estacode is a right for public officer so he has right to receive it or still leave it.
