Injustice and malicious verdict! Does it mean the like of magistrates and co haven't ever seen, touched, heard that political thieves are the worst of all crimes? Misplaced priority. Jail political thieves and others will "pick dressing" but when you jail a man because of bread, our baron of incompetent political leaders will say office looting is best lucrative business.

Why the hell would they send him to prison, it is clear that the man is hungry, he just forgot to pray to the lord to give him his daily bread

Why won't he steal?.
Met a student today who stopped me to beg me, said he didn't even want money, that he just needs food to eat,
Said hasn't eaten since yesterday and has nothing to eat Tomorrow, he can't go and steal so he decided its better to ask for help.

Our judiciary system is whack.. They are quick to sentence the opportunity to prison but not quick to sentence the rich to prison... Crazy people

You can concoct any type of story you want, but this topic is about an able bodied man, who ALREADY had a job as a BAKER, who broke into his workplace to steal.

He didn't take for his own consumption. He stole to sell whilst, helping himself to 80 thousand Naira from the till.

Because he's a thief, he might even bankrupt the little bakery business.

This is about greed and avarice not hunger.

No matter how the magnitude of what someone stole is, a thief is a thief, he deserved to be jailed.

Very correct.

But what has anyone done to the thieving politicians?

There was a time power and strength has another meaning.

The meaning they have now is summed up in your comment. Be connected and you're powerful even if deep down there's a weak, feebly minded jelly...

I don't condone stealing but I think this is absurd, every day we hear of people looting our Treasury to the tune of billions of naira, yet none ever goes to the joint, yet for a token of 100k is quick condemned. God save our country
