President Muhammadu Buhari met with Governors from the South-East earlier today at the State House in Abuja.

PoliticsNGR learned that Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu was also present at the meeting.

Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state, Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Nkem Okeke, Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and Governor Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu State were also present.

However, Governor of Imo state, Rochas Okorocha was noticeably absent at the meeting. It will be recalled that Okorocha is currently at loggerheads with the leadership of the party over the non-emergence of his in-law, Uche Nwosu as the APC governorship candidate in the upcoming 2019 elections.

I remember these people saying Ekweremadu has no electoral value, and insulted him down to his great grand parents when it was rumoured he was planning to decamp over anger arising from the choice of Obj.
