Contestants for Miss University Africa pay Okorocha courtesy call as the event holds in Owerri.
The Beauty Queens are in Owerri for the event that would last for 2weeks.

It will climax with the election of the over-all African beauty queen among the queens which would take place on November 29, 2018.

Speaking when the African beauty queens called on him at the Government House in Owerri to inform him of the events, Governor Okorocha called on them to be united against illiteracy in the continent.

The governor said: “It has always been my desire to see Africans under one roof to dramatize Africa Unity so that Africans wherever they may be found would remain a united people.

“Today, that dream has come through, having all parts of Africa to come to Imo State. We are very proud of you. I want you to understand that though languages may seem to divide us, hills and oceans may separate us but what kept us as Africans is more important than the rivers and oceans that separate us”.

He added: “I am equally much happy that you are here to promote culture, decency and also to represent the very ideal of the African woman by having a non-picnic contest.

“This is what caught my interest and for the fact that you love education and have come to promote education and to speak for those vulnerable children and those who could not go to School due to poverty. This again is what has caught my fantasy.

He urge them to remember the less-privileged in Africa and become ambassadors for the fight against poverty in the continent

STFO my mention. Do I look like a Rochas person? I love Development and beautiful pictures of Igboland and elsewhere in Nigeria. Rocha’s or no Rochas. Don’t drag me into your petty politics or negativity. 4K off.

Douglas Road? Imo state is beyond Douglas Road.

There are many roads scrapped by Okorocha government since 2013 in Orlu.
His government is yet to start asphalting them.

Douglas Road Owerri was scraped just yesterday.

The belief that Imo state is Owerri led to the present political anguish of Okorocha.

Of course, it's over five years we started sending signals everywhere, including on this site, to gov. Okorocha and his handlers, that Imo state is not only Owerri.

When Rochas wants to build houses, most times he builds beautiful houses.

But when it comes to road construction, he will give the contract to Mama Ngozi Construction Company. Those people who use shovel and metallic buckets to construct roads grin

I strongly believe those blue buildings, if well investigated will be linked to his family. They have the same pattern like that of his wife in akachi road. That family is a very greedy family.

He built them during his first tenure

I think he called them expanded chambers or so

Abagworo will know better

I know he's a terrible governor, but Rochas gave Owerri an eduring infrastructural face lift

True.

Rochas Okorocha expanded, beautified and modernized Owerri;

but sold his birthright and political rights on that.

Poor education tells someone that a state was created for a governor to make the state capital a Mega City, while other towns in the same state remain glorified villages - as it is in Rochas Okorocha's Imo state.
