I was in my living room with some of my ministers and advisors. They were recommending sundry alternatives, but i was quiet in the midst of their discussion. I hugged my thoughts, figuring out how to do that which was best for the country. My personal interest receding rapidly and the interest of Nigeria looming large. I excused myself and left the conference. I walked into my study. Even here, my mantra was a strong circle around me. Supporting and comforting me...Jonathan Check page 68

I love GEJ for the gentleman he is and being one of the most educated president we have ever had. But i hate him for ONE thing only " He abandoned us - Niger-Deltans. He did nothing for us. He was busy enriching tompolo etc while ignoring the very educated younger ones in businesses, military, police etc. He did nothing to improve the Niger-Delta development and it's economy. Warri, for instance has picked up economically in the past two years but during his time it was division all through. Give license for young and agile men in the SS states to develop and run private refineries along our coast, nah lie, he no do. Orubebe was a pauper when we send am make he go represent. Orubebe got to Abuja and forgot about everybody at home. He abandoned the Niger-Delta interest. GEJ influenced nothing for any of us in the services. Papa Clark and James Manager even try to relate and help in areas whey problem fit come up. But GEJ regrettably spurned the only opportunity we had to transform ND. He messed up. Men and boys don loose hope after he sadly lost the election. Nigerian leadership is first about sectional interest embedded in the national interest. He pacified the northerners excessively, they ended up deceiving and betraying him. It's a lesson for us all in the ND. Die nah die when you get there. Do your people good before trying to be a national champion. Our time will always come. We set die.Hailings!!!! |

Nah now e dey clear say nah so so book GEJ dey take us write when im dey position. No viable economic development in the ND. It was a complete tenure of bribery and pacification. Hausa man dey there im people dey flex carry oil anyhow. Yorubas join Buhari, see as dem dey arrange project put for dem side. We supported GEJ to the last transition hours despite the fact that he let us down. We raise im hand to the last but the guy fall our hands. Nothing!! nothing!!! |
