A baby has been rescued one week after being kidnapped and tied inside a cement bag in Rivers state.

According to reports, the woman in the picture allegedly kidnapped the baby and tied her inside the cement bag for close to a week in Ozuoba community, Obio/Akpor local government area of the state.

It was gathered that luck ran out on the alleged kidnapper this afternoon as she was caught and later confessed to the crime.

She was taken to where she put the child who was found alive. 

The woman was beaten by her captors as they dragged her to the police station while she wept.

The baby has been rushed to the hospital for treatment. 

The suspect allegedly confessed to selling her victims to ritualists.

Parents and guardians have been warned to pay more attention to their children/ward most especially this time of the year.
