he has also recorded 4 assist this season in la liga,2 assist in the champion league , that is 15 goals contribution in 17 games, how many top strikers in the world has that?

IMO none of the above named players is an upgrade over Suarez. I honestly don't have a problem with Suarez not scoring in the UCL group stages, I just want him to turn up in the big and crucial games when it matters the most, which none of the players you have just mentioned has done in previous seasons. If we start mentioning the bottling stats of both Lewandowski and Cavani in the UCL KO stages, you'd be surprised.

for Messi to thrive in that role he needs willing runners in front of him, and serious ball recoveries going on behind him. The way I'm seeing it, Messi will retire as a central midfielder, Pirlo-like CM.

The main job of a striker is to score, if you don't yet do well in other aspect of the game, you have failed technically

While I agree with you no doubt, Luiz isn't so reliable to turn up in big games, that he did against Madrid isn't a guarantee he would do so again. I love him but his inconsistency is becoming unbecoming
