As long as Messi plays (at this level)- he should be the awardee! Look at this little man-speed, dribbling, passes, goals, assists, vision of the game, forward and middle field (even defence )...whether or not you love soccer, watching him play is magnificent. And, for the haters--this is an individual award (which should not be based on the the number of trophies won--that's a team effort, luck etc).
