I think the judges called it as a draw for two reasons.

1. The two knock downs from Wilder.
2. Wilder came in as the champ.

If Fury was the champ they wouldn't have called it a draw.

No..they called it a draw so as to preserve the unbeaten record of Wilder going into the April bout with Aj..knockdowns don't mean shiiiit,it means you win that round only.. 2 knockdowns means Wilder won those 2 rounds but Fury still came back in those two round, he even dizzed wilder in one of the rounds even after just surviving a potential knockout.. so he probably got an 8 from those 2 rounds.. On the balance of 12 rounds Fury must have won like 7-8 conveniently.

And I quite agree with you that Fury won.

Surely the judges made a mess of it, deliberately or indeliberately.


But my point is that they wouldn't have dared to mess it up like that if Wilder didn't have those 2 knock downs or if Fury was the defending champ.

True..I'm very impressed with Fury though,the 2nd knockdown probably changed d narrative..It was deliberate by the judges.. one gave it to wilder, one gave it to fury.. the 3rd judge(a Briton) was the one who had it draw.. In my opinion The first one that gave the fight to wilder na wereyyyy
