This is fake News..American Embassy said they don't discuss Visa issues public. Visa issues are confidential...so where is this fake news coming from..I just watched a news interview of one the guys in the US embassy last night saying this...Rather than focusing on real issues na visa be problem now...Atiku will be alright las las....Get Atikulated and get sense. Someone everyone is calling a their , fugitive and all that and yet no one has jailed him, no one has taking him to court, no one has shown any proof of his thievery....The APC govt once collected his thievery money, dined with him but they never called him a thief and a fraud then....l laugh in Swahili.... Hypocrites all APC....and those who are believing in hearsays, does anyone of you have a proven evidence to nail Atiku? None....Gullible ignoramus....And most of these buharist are hungry , suffering and smiling.. Yet they want to mortgage their life again for another four years..I no gree ... omu4364:Not visiting the US at this material time is a confirmation of his corrupt and shady past. It means he is a fugitive. A criminal on the run. Can you now see why it's important for Nigerians. We cannot vote in a fugitive as our president. Our mumu never reach |

lexy2014:Why are you blaring this same question all over the thread like a broken siren? According to the indictment and incident charge against Atiku Abubakar, his former wife Jennifer, the German company Siemens and his criminal partner Congressman Jefferson, the laundered funds came from PTDF (a Nigerian government agency directly under the purview of the then Vice President Atiku) and from kickbacks paid to the vice president by Siemens for contract bids in Nigeria. The funds were laundered from Nigeria to more than 30 accounts belonging to Mrs Jennifer Atiku in America. Additional sums went to American University obviously to secure license and other rights to the institution currently owned by Atiku in Yola. To cap it; Siemens pled guilty and was fined. Jefferson was found guilty and sentenced to jail. Jennifer was found guilty and sentenced to jail. Only Atiku has avoided and evaded punishment for stealing over $40m of Nigeria's funds. Let that figure sink in...that is N14.5billion of our commonwealth gone down the drain in one single deal. According to OBJ, Atiku was a kleptomaniac extraordinaire as he devised so many other deals with which he siphoned our reserves. Long may Atiku never cone near Aso Villa till he falls six feet under the ground! |

pol23:It's not about just visiting the US, it's the allegation about money laundering and bribery. If he still can't travel as persona non grata, then it implies the US has a reasonably tight case against Atiku. The APC dared him to go to the US since he's denying the allegations |

I knew everything about this visa to Atiku was fake. America does not change their laws to suit nybody. the law remains and must apply to everyone. But it's a shame that some people don't regard this as important issue, while another country whose money was not stolen are the ones showing more seriousness than us. |

What kind of fauckery is going on with the reputable news media in this country? Visa application is always confidential and Independent NG had to quote US Embassy while their source is "unnamed close family source" This is very very unprofessional! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDKIoSc6Qy0 |

Visa that an average Nigerian gets the same day of an interview has grown so much complexities in Atiku's case. Even if he gets the visa, it has left a bad taste in the mouth. Someone of such personality should not be struggling over US visa like that, ideally, it should be a walk in the park. |

Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has finally been issued a visa to the United States. A family source disclosed this to TheCable on Saturday, adding that the former vice-president has left Nigeria for the UK, where he would spend some time before flying to the U. S. It was learnt that former President Olusegun Obasanjo played a “critical” role in getting the American government to issue the visa to his former deputy with whom he was estranged for almost 15 years. DAILY POST recalls that Lai Mohammed, the Minister of Information on Thursday warned the US to be cautious in granting visa to the main opponent of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 election.
