Coutinho has been the shadow of himself ever since he came to Barce, one would argue that he scores, but his overall game play is nothing to write home about. I don't see any reason he should start ahead of Dembele

This is his worst season. He played very well last season. I was against his signing cos i regarded him as an attacking midfielder but his last season performance shut me up.

I think the problem is not with the player but the team's philosophy and game. The same problem caused Dembele's inconsistency, Paco's and Suarez's lack of goals. And the problem is tight spaces. Most of these guys comes from teams playing man to man, spaced-out oppositions but in Barca they are faced most times with bus-parking opponents with limited spaces to dribble or turn in their wall.

This is why we most times think a player is not living up to his mettle compared to his former or future club, Munir is another example.

Coutinho is more comfortable in attacking midfield position where he drifts easily to left wing, but in Barcelona, he is only restricted to the left wing and that is affecting him..


Dembele and Pique were the best Barcelona player tonight, Semedo impressed also.. Messi was off today, looked disinterested, losing possession in key areas on few occasions

oga your honesty is a lie o. Coutinho has been exceptional from January till the world cup, even this season, some matches he will play poorly yet he will have a goal or an assist. Since the Inter match, Coutinho hasn't been... I don't know. Maybe he needs more time on the bench

Messi didn't look motivated as he was in the UCL last week. I think he is focused more on UCL

the person that will be dropped will be Coutinho, not Dembele. I never said Dembele was shit I said he was too inconsistent, that was why coach relegated him to the bench. I've always known Dembele was good, I even remember calling him "Pogba on the flanks" or something like that. With performances like these he has had for the past few weeks, he will keep starting.
