A company needed advertised 15 positions with the same job description and person specification. I fit into all these positions and I want to apply.

Can I use the same CV and Cover letter for the positions because they are all the same, only the locations where the post holder is needed is different

If I were in your shoes I'd use same letter and CV. One of my headliners though would be that I am willing to relocate.

I'm currently filling out the personal history section after receiving ITA. Please do I need to upload documents for each employment period under the personal history? Note: Not all the jobs are used for my NOC.

Hello sir, how do one go on these road trips? Are there tour guides and co to help with it? Also how can one join parapos?

Why fort mac?
Fortunately the cost of living has greatly reduced aftee the downturn and the fire incident. Despite that, Fort mc is still not doing bad. It's a good city and there are lots of Nigerians with family currently living in the city.

I don't know much about business ideas but to kill boredome is not hard. Just like you, I am a Lagosian. I was born and bred in Lagos, Mushin to be precise.

- First thing will be to get involved in the community via volunteering. Volunteering is part of life in Canada and a good way to meet good people. The importance of volunteerism will be emphasized at your oath ceremony on becoming a Canadian.

- Get involveed in community sports for kids. You will get to meet other parents through that means.

- Go on a road trip to Banff and Jasper atleast once a year. If you are more adventurous, you can extend the road trip to BC.

- Visit Drumheller to check out fossils.

-Join parapos - members usually have events like naming ceremony, house warming, birthday parties etc lined up for the year.

- Get involved in church or mosque activities. Take the kids to playground. You will meets other parents here too.

- Get involved in social clubs at work.

^^^^^^Those are the ways I have been able to overcome boredom. I have visiting Quebec and Ontario with the family on my bucket list for next year.

Landing gist!

My waka started from the city of Pitakwa.
I had planned to use Abj Airport when booking but I just don't know how I forgot and chose Lagos. I had heard stories about the Lagos airport and had to start praying I don't get to speak plenty grammar or part with a lot of money.

I used Airpeace from PH to Lagos. Domestic flights only give 20kg(which was like a drop to what I was carrying) for check in luggage, so I paid better money for excess luggage.. E pain me oh, but at least I felt more at peace than the other options I had in couriering my things to lagos which were cheaper.

I had asked around and was told I wouldn't get a hotel within my budget(8-10k) around or close to the airport but thankfully I found one - Presken Hotel at Allen jxn. Staff and service was cool.

I was traveling with a friend and colleague and we were heading to the same city. My friend's sister sent us a cab guy who was of great help to us.

We arrived the airport around past 9am, our flight was by 1:45pm.
When we got to the airport, he carried all our bags... Including my foodstuff bag which was weighing about 42kg( looking back, I wonder how I for manage with that bag). The guy was also a regular at the airport and knew a couple of the staff there so he helped us go through most of the motions.
Our bags weren't searched. He got food stuff clearance for us. And negotiated the extra luggage cost for us with Ethiopian Airline. I ended up paying 100usd.
I went to the BDC in the airport and changed some naira I had on me then proceeded to immigrations.
That went smoothly. I had forgotten about some N200 notes I had in my pocket, so while patting me down the officer there said I should bless her even if na 200, so I gave her.
I think arriving early (even if your flight is in the afternoon is better cos the staff are less cranky and there is also less pressure on you knowing you have enough time to do all you should do)

The flight to Addis was cool...
(The Addis airport make me weak for Nigerian Airports)
The flight from Addis to Toronto was cray! Too damn loooooooooooooooog. I sleep wake up taya. Plus I'm not so good with sleeping on a chair.. I nearly lie down for the aisle.
I was just thinking how I would have to go through this same thing when I have to go back to Nigeria. I sha decided I would have to save up more money so I can take flights with shorter flight time mbok.
Aside the long journey Ethiopian airline was cool.. Courteous airhostesses, The food no too follow sha but was manageable ( we were served 5 times or so), In flight entertainment was very cool.

We landed Toronto around 7am in the morning and our connecting flight to Edmonton was by 10:25am
Landing formalities were a breeze. Less than 30mins everything.
No luggage check
Wasn't asked for POF( was only asked how much cash I have on me which was just 900usd)
The officer cheerfully stamped me in, with congratulations bla bla bla, welcome to Canada... And I went to Service Canada to get my SIN.

I wished Toronto was my last stop cos I was now tired of the whole journey mehn. The flight to Edmonton by Air Canada seemed to take forever.

In this whole journey I realized I don't like flying. My fave moments now became when I hear "Ladies and Gentlemen we are now descending in preparation to land bla bla bla..... "
Edmonton welcomed us with snow and a temp of -3 C
Picked up my bags and waited for my sister to come pick me home where very hot jollof rice was waiting. grin
One of my bag didn't come from Toronto, but I was later sent and delivered to the house.

A few days later, I went into town to , get a sim card, phone, open a bank account.
This Edmonton weather hasn't been doing me well.. It's so cold.... and im feeling unwell embarassed. I'm wonder how I will manage when the 'real winter' comes.

It used to be sweet to be in Naija shouting winter is coming, as per GOT fan.... But now eh, I no want the winter to come. cry

Dear Santa, can I have a white Christmas, but with temperature at 20 degrees and above?

Anyway sha, I don land. cool cool

How long does “GOODS TO FOLLOW “ take to get to Canada..... is it the same as “CARGO” that y’all have been talking about?

I thought GOODS TO FOLLOW are transported free of charge.

No tour guides. Just grab your google map and make a list of places of interest. Don't forget your camera :-)

Nigerian Canadian associations of (.....insert city), igbo Canadian Assciation of (...insert city), Yoruba Community Association of (insert cit), (igbo community of (instert city), African associations in smaller cities, Rccg churches etc. They even take it further in the US..there are associations for LGA or hometown.

All you need to go is google for the contacts on dedicated websites or check facebooks. It's christmas parties time for the parapos at the moment.

457 pages down!!!
I have gained a lot from here and I hope I can give back when I am called upon to do so in the nearest future.
Before I started reading this thread,I was pretty sure I wanted to land in Winnipeg because I have a cousin there, as per "soft landing", but right now I am confused ,I am torn between GTA,Calgary,Winnipeg and Edmonton.I had better figure this out fast.

Are there bridging programs for supply chain officers in Alberta
Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant by mmaryam(f): 5:41am On Dec 03, 2018
philip3:
To be honest its very broad here and there are always a variety of supply chain roles available with logistics, manufacturing and retail organisations.

I don't think it should be difficult to get into depending on which level is convenient for you.

There are always vacancies on indeed.ca. Just search with different variations of your job title.

When you come try attending any of these bridging programs depending on proximity and schedule

http://accesemployment.ca/supply-chain-connections

http://newtocanada.humber.ca/bridging-programs/scape.html

Also start looking to registering with APICS which should help you get ahead once you get that first job

Please do you know any organization offering bridging programs for supply chain in Alberta too

Please what is the fastest way get to Kitchener from Toronto's Pearson Airport. With the cold, I am not even considering the rail service and I am not sure a pre booked cab will want to be kept waiting when I cannot determine the exact time I would exit the airport.

I do not have M.Sc. All I have is Bachelor in Engineering plus a certification in safety that covers five category under OSHA-Occupational Safety and Health Academy.

I don't not also know anyone in Manitoba matter of fact this is my first time looking at this option with no one in mind.

Somebody's suggestions will help a whole lot

I'm sorry you stand no chance if you don't av a family in Manitoba, it's 200 points; even having a close may not be enough.
Why not try Express Entry?

Welcome to Canada my brother
Here are 2 options for you.
You can take a greyhound bus to St. Catherines. It will take you 2 hours to get there by bus.
Or, I can take you to St. Catherines (free of charge). But I live in London. It will take me 2.5 hours to get to get to you in Etobicoke. Can you reschedule your St. Catherine's appointment?

@blackbuddy ,

Hi hello, I just got on the thread yesterday, I’ve tried to read lots of the pages and I singled you out in a very short time.
You’re a breath of fresh air, thank you!

Biko help me too,

I presently work as a supply chain officer and would want to continue in that line. Are there bridging programs to help me get entry level jobs, i understand I still have to get a diploma later.

Please focus on Alberta as that’s where my husband can only find a job. Thank you
