Only political ignoramuses from southern Nigeria fail to understand that the fraudulent use of land mass as criterion to proliferate 20 states in one northern region is reason why even a cow from northern Nigeria led by Fulani, can defeat a professor of Law from any part of southern Nigeria in Nigeria's presidential election

Even an Almajiri on the streets of Kano or Kaduna can tell you that land mass or population is not used as criterion to decide where and how many new political units, like states or local government areas, can be created in any area in a country formed by diverse regions.

There should have been more states and local government areas in the two southern regions that formed independent Nigeria with the one northern region in 1960, than in the northern region.


To win Nigeria's presidential election, a candidate must win 25% of votes in 24 states.

Unless north led by Fulani is tired of ruling Nigeria, that's when a southern candidate can win 25% of votes in 24 states.

Get informed, small minded dud of American example: there is no possibility for dividing the more populated and huge land mass southern US states of California or Texas into say, four states each, but divide the least populated and small land mass northern US states into say, two states each; thereafter the southern soldiers who created the political structure supervise a constitution for the US stipulating that equal number of Senators be derived from each US state to the US Congress, stipulate that a US presidential candidate must win 25% of votes in 2/3 of the number of US states before pronounced winner of US presidential election, stipulate the quota system under unitary government system, in a US where US states individually entered the Union.
If that is ever done, it boils down to consigning ownership of the US to the southern political class.
