Ban on all forms of protest in Nasarawa State

The Nasarawa state Police Command wishes to inform the general public that all forms of protest have been banned throughout the state.
Therefore, all proposed protests under any guise are hereby prohibited.

The police command took this decision in order to prevent the breakdown of law and order and to sustain the peace currently being enjoyed in the state; as the intelligent report on security can no longer sustain any form of protest in the state.

Consequently, parents and guardians are advised to ensure their children and wards do not violate this order as anyone caught shall be arrested and prosecuted accordingly.

The women said they will protest for 7 days, today is day 6. NPF kindly allow them to complete their remaining 1day tomorrow. These women are civil, law abiding and coordinated in their protest, no violence or vandalism in any way.

Does that stop tribunal and court proceedings ; just imagine votes from 2 local governments overwhelmed 10 others. Results of votes cast in the state capital was the last to be declared. Yeye dey smell.

Good. It’s like some people are starting to turn protesting to business.

The police should give cogent reason for banning the protest tho.
