Canada Desperately Looking To Fill 430,000 Vacant Jobs by Nobody: 2:43pm On Dec 05, 2018 |
Published December 5, 2018 6A business group warned on Tuesday that a labour shortage in Canada is deepening, with more than 430,000 jobs at small and medium-sized firms remaining unfilled for at least four months. The job vacancy rate has risen to 3.3 percent, from 2.9 percent a year ago, the Canadian Federation of Independent Business said in a report. This is “above the records set before the 2008 financial crisis, and businesses are really feeling the pressure,” said CFIB chief economist Ted Mallett. According to the government statistical agency, the unemployment rate fell 0.1 percentage points in October to a near-record low of 5.8 percent. The labour shortage, according to the CFIB, is particularly acute in the services, construction, agricultural, and oil and gas sectors, and is putting upward pressure on wages. The data release comes as the federal and Quebec governments spar over immigration targets. Quebec Premier Francois Legault has pledged to cut immigration, despite the mostly French-speaking province being hit hardest by a lack of skilled workers. “What I hear across Quebec is entrepreneurs, businesses concerned about the labour shortage, so I’m not sure it’s the best time to cut immigration,” Prime Minister Justin Trudeau commented. What you are saying, technically, is that CANADA is looking for more people to employ. Hmmm! reverse of our own case. 89 Likes 3 Shares |

IamJix:hr wanted to unite africa with wealth he gave out plans to all african countries how to harness wealth with resources the western world wont have that as africa is their market they used the arab spring to remove him by his own people. If being a kind dictator is bad to the world den dey should tell us how democracy has benefitted africa. Even as bad as abacha is he was better dan obj jona buhari yaradua. At least we know the western world supports some dictators in africa indirectly while hipocritically attacking them politics is all drama. This world is so complex! 126 Likes 9 Shares |

I weep for africa imagine abroad looks like heaven to most of us in 2018. Yet we have so many churches n mosques God knows best we need to break some chains. 45 Likes 3 Shares |

Kingzy4pep:India and Nigeria are kinda similar. The only difference is the two things you mentioned. Sure we need to evolve. My 14 days on Zwerl taught me how myopic Indians and Filipinos are. They can't type English correctly, the don't know much things other than Medical related stuffs. 3 Likes 1 Share |

naijacentric: Are you just finding out how hypocritical the western world is? They bombed the hell out of Libya, giving some silly reasons like Ghadafi killed some protesters, now in 2018, Saudi is doing worst, they have killed thousands of Children and Women this year alone, bombed hospitals and schools, yet these same People who demonized Ghadafi are still the ones backing Saudi, even selling more deadly weapons to them so they can continue with their killings. Their next target is Iran, but I don't think they can carry out any military threat, , the Persians ain't get joy. 37 Likes 3 Shares |
