The Kashimbilla Hydropower Plant in Taraba State is 100 per cent complete and will commence generating about 40 megawatts (MW) of electricity by February, 2019, to the national grid, the Federal Government has said.
Flashback:Work commenced on the Project in 2016, when Minister of Power, Works and Housing said that work would begin this year on the 40 megawatts Kashimbila Hydro Power Plant in Taraba.

Many states are already into that. Kaduna presently has 100 MW. And there are other IPP ~ independent power project across the federation

For a country that requires over 50000 mega watts 40 mega watts is a far cry from what is needed. Except if 100 of such dams will be constructed simultaneously starting from now.

FactCheck: This project started as far back as 2007...any project the present government starts will take 4-5 years or more to accomplish (EPC Projects is not politics don't quote me).
