Mr Man, you are a novice. If you don't read beyond the usual #mama corner you don't come out to disgrace yourself in a forum like this. Ok, let me lecture you;

When Gaddafi was in power, there was no slave trade of Black Africans in Libya. As a matter of fact Gaddafi gave financial aid to Black African nations and almost single handedly funded the fight against White minority rule in the then Rhodesia (renamed Zimbabwe) and against apartheid in South Africa. Even Mandela confirmed it openly in America. This is to tell you how rich Libya was as at that time....even same can be said about some African countries but Europe and America didn't make them to see.

His transcript:

"I will not go into exile to any foreign country. I was born here in Libya, and I will die here. This country was a dessert, and I turned it into a forest, where everything can grow. No one Love this land more more than its citizens. If Europe and America tells you that they love you, be careful. They love the wealth of your land. The oil and not the people. They are helping you to fight against me but, it will be more wise for you to fight against them because they are fighting against your future and progress.

My message to you the people of Libya is, they are helping you to kill me but you will pay the price because you will suffer. And my message to you America and Europe is, you will kill me, but be ready to fight a never ending TERRORISM. Before you realise your ignorance, terrorists will be hitting you at your doorstep."

GADDAFI once told the Nigerian and British governments to divide Nigeria into two, so that the Hausa/Fulani (Moslems), Yoruba (Christians) and Biafrans/Igbo, can live as neighbouring countries. Probably, if that had been done we wouldn't be in this chaos we are in right now. We all know that, right?

Having said that let me now tell you the real reasons why he was killed:

1. There is no electricity bill in Libya, electricity is free for all its citizens.

2. There is no interest on loans, banks in Libya are state-owned and loans given to all its citizens are at a 0% interest by law.

3. Home is considered a human right in Libya. Gaddafi vowed that his parents would not get a house until everyone in Libya had a home.

4. All newlyweds in Libya receive $60,000 Dinars (US$50,000) from the government to buy their first apartment.

5. Education and medical treatments are free in Libya. Before Gaddafi, only 25% of Libyans were literates. Today, the figure stands at 83%.

6. Libyans taking up farming as a career, they received farm land, a farming house, equipment, seeds and livestock to kick- start their farms – all for free.

7. If Libyans cannot find the education or medical facilities they needed in Libya, the government funded them to go abroad for it.

8. In Gaddafi's Libya, if a Libyan buys a car, the government subsidized 50% of the price.
9. The price of petrol in Libya is $0. 14 per liter.

10. Libya has no external debt and its reserves amount to $150 billion – now frozen globally.

11. If a Libyan is unable to get employment after graduation, the state would pay the average salary of the profession as if he or she is employed until employment is found.

12. A portion of Libyan oil sale is credited directly to the bank accounts of all Libyan citizens.

13. A mother who gave birth to a child under Gaddafi, received US $5,000 as child benefit upfront.

14. 40 loaves of bread in Libya costs $ 0.15

15. 25% of Libyans have a university degree.

16. Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest irrigation project, known as the Great Man- Made River Project, to make water readily available throughout the desert country.

If this is called "Dictatorship", I wonder what type of leadership Democrats would provide...and with our democracy, majority of Nigerians are still languishing in poverty.

Cheers!

There is no point debating you since you lack comprehension skills.
When I mentioned slave, I am not talking about slave trade but the legal slavery that Nigerians
willfully enter into in the gulf states, where they are dehumanised because they want to make money.

Libya is a country of 6 million and there is nothing special about it being a welfare state.
In fact, all Arab countries with oil and a small population are welfare states with most of their citizens
unemployed.

Your post makes sense for a people who have been mired in abject poverty, they think Libya is a
paradise because the government is bribing its jobless citizens. But any clear-headed person understand
what true development means.

Don't mind them
Very horrible weather

Here we have excellent weather
Very Fertile farmlands
Natural resources
A huge population that can create excellent economy
Only bad leadership is our bane
And the West will never want us to have one

Don't mind some of these boys doing menial job in the West coning here to make noise

Sir, Nigeria does not have leadership problem, our leader is just a sample of our population and every Nation deserve the leadership it has. Having said that people doing menial job hardly get enough money to flaunt, it is the yahoo ++++ guys, people breaking cards that come back to oppress young mind.

Religion is one top problems Nigeria is facing.

If we could do away with all forms of religion and work as a united society Nigeria will progress very very well, but nooooo, the brainwashing fed down to some people's DNA by force from the Arabs and Europeans has refused to leave them and their children.

Nigerian's problem is leadership
And Nothing else

We have fertile farmlands
We have natural resources
We have human resources
The problem is irresponsible leadership
Of over 5 decades

Countries like Singapore, UAE, Qatar, even Saudi Arabia are living better than most of these Western countries
How many of there citizens are rushing like refugees as Nigerians

Your post is irrelevant to my submission.
I reacted to a claim of Gadafi putting up a $500 billion dollar for a bank when his
country can't manufacture ordinary toothpick.

There is nothing special about Gadaffi, every country with large oil and small population
is better off than others without, regardless of the leader in charge.

Libya was never the pride of Africa any more than Saudi is the pride of the middle east.
What is there to be proud about, Oil?

Watch these same set of people praise Maduro of Venezuela if he is ousted by a revolution. They will start referring to the 70s when Venezuela economy was booming and... Abeg I can't even imagine the kind of nonsense they will write.

More intelligent Nigerians would be leaving to go work in Canada, leaving behind the simpletons to further mess up the land. The sad thing is that if Nigeria falls then Africa might follow suit.

Nigeria has been declining in all economic indices since 1980, I don't see Africa following that trend.

Please Google Libya underwater reserve built by Gaddafi for Libya at the cost of billions of dollars

Libya had the best welfare in Africa and middle East before they killed him

Libya had more than 150 billion dollars in reserve talk less of the gold bar he had

Why were the West courting Gaddafi then. George Bush Jr sent condoleza rice the then Secretary of States more than twice to court his friendship

London school of economics was courting his son saif even gave the guy PhD

Gaddafi will still remain the best leader of African origin for what he did for his people.
No African leader comes close minus Nelson Mandela.
[s]Even in Nigeria, with all the bad things and propaganda against Sani Abacha. No Nigerian leader had better, policies that touched the ordinary mans life.[/s]

Until the black man totally dissociates from colonialists, he can never move forward.

What is wrong you people?!

Where you even born when Abacha was President? Where you alive when his death was breaking news in the evening hours? Have you forgotten how people rejoiced to that news?

The average Nigerian reaction to his death was not of someone that had better policies that touched the ordinary man.

I can conclude two things from your submission based on what you said about Abacha

1. You were not born/too young to understand what Nigerians were going through at the time.

2. You have a serious case of Retrograde Amnesia (a lot of you Nigerians suffer from this disorder)

for those in this elite category, they have no problem getting decent jobs.
But many people don't know this.

Which of the abachas are you referring to? This same man that Nigerians were cooking with saw dust during his regime, living under socio-econimic hardship?

Yes, countries like China, singapore improved economically by having visionary leaders who had zero tolerance for curruption.

But come to think of it, buhari is against corruption na though he promised to share the abacha loot (5k per month) to many households in some states but people are yet to see alert. However, where is the money?

The major difference between us and other developed nation is ability to individually take personal responsibility for our life without waiting for any government or individual help.

And next year I will do a lot of traveling

There is tremendous wealth here

In agriculture alone
Do you know that an Indian man is the biggest producer of garri in Nigeria. And he is a billionaire billionaire?
Do you know the kind of money Asians are raking in here

Then it is for me to leave this blessed land
And go and be slave to the white man
God forbid bad thing

We must positively change this Nation
