You can point to the fact that Arsenal is still 5th despite the impressive run (in reality they are on same point as 4th, only 2 point behind 3rd and would most likely be higher this weekend when Chelsea get mauled by Man city ), however this is testament to how competitive the top 5 is. I mean, Liverpool are having their best start in their history and they are still 2nd .

Right now, the EPL is actually divided into 4 tiers;

Tier 1: Man city and Liverpool (title challengers)

Tier 2: Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea (battling for the 2 remaining Champions League spots)

Tier 3: Everton, Bournemouth, Leicester, Man Utd (battling to be the best of the rest and a Europa league spot)

Tier 4: The rest (fighting for survival)

Quite impressive how Emery has managed to get us into this position and I'm very optimistic he'll do so much more when he gets his own players.
