It's Useless To Be Dangerously Wealthy Without Helping The Poor - Tayo Demola

Human Rights activist, Tayo Demola has reacted to the statement by Bishop David Oyedepo, the presiding Bishop of Winners Chapel church. Recall that Oyedepo in a recent statement said he was dangerously wealthy and extremely rich.

In his reaction in a video posted on his Twitter handle, the activist condemned what he called an insult to the masses and people of Nigeria by Oyedepo by flaunting his stupendous wealth in their faces even when the majority of the people live in abject poverty.

According to Tayo Demola, it is useless to be dangerously wealthy without helping the poor people from whom he made his money. He advised Oyedepo to stop insulting the sensibilities of Nigerians but should rather set up companies that will employ many Nigerians to reduce the unemployment rate in the country.

I cringe when I see people ask Oyedepo to help the poor. Oyedepo help the poor? How? That's his lifestyle nah! Helping the poor is his kingdom obligation. In fact, he doesn't spend up to 5% of his wealth on himself. You think he will now publicise it after doing it?

Bishop has 25,000 people employed on his payroll. They are paid on time and paid very well. There is Kingdom Heritage Model School(Some states have more than 10, there is Faith Academy (chain of boarding secondary schools), Covenant University (pacesetters in Nigerian university space), Landmark University (with more than half the students on scholarship), Crown University (Still built by Nigerians), Dominion Publishing, and Faith Terbanacle. All employing more 25,000 people!

Bishop has said that he is not a Philanthropist but a Kingdom Advancer. He is not obligated to snap and tell you how he spends his money on the poor. We the insiders know how much of the poor he blesses.

Winners is in over 60 countries of the world with large congregations even in the UAE. Nigeria is just the operational headquarters.

Well I still think that if he has employed a lot of people, it won't be hidden. It's not a question of healing people, yes he can heal people, he heals people, but Jesus did not collect money to heal people in the Bible.

If he has been so blessed and so wealthy as he said, then he should increase his reach and spread his tentacles to help people all over Nigeria. That's what Tayo Demola talked about in that video if u watched it.

Before you help people in other countries, help people in your country first. Charity begins at home as they say. A lot of people are hungry in Nigeria so help them first. I've never met anyone working for him anyway.

I'm not saying people are not working for him but I align with the argument and suggestions of this activist that he should help people all over Nigeria and in all the states of the federation and not just within his circle or among his church members only.
