Why is Rochas so inconsistent? He keeps changing his own project that one is left wondering if he has a blueprint at all. He will set out to build a market, halfway through, he will convert it to school and towards completion, he changes it again to hospital.
Where is the wisdom in building two big hospitals within a stone throw of each other?

The patch-patch work going on at the so called hospital is a cause for concern because the quality of work is so abysmally poor!

Is he going to leave Douglas road in that state of disrepair with haphazardly constructed gutters that insults ones sensibility??

Most parts of the gutters that was constructed in Douglas road have all collapsed while electric poles and giant billboards are before the gutters, right on the main road yet he has started pouring coal-tar at the garden park end of Douglas road!!

Did he actually build these things to last or just to take random pictures immediately they are constructed for propaganda purposes only for the projects to collapse weeks after!!

He expanded the roads which was a good idea and I give him thumbs up for that but the quality of all his projects are atrocious at best.

it is still our money!! Koroacha is a crook.

This structure looks shabby I hope it wouldn't collapse on the would-be beneficiaries on completion.

If that happens there wouldn't be any hidding place for Rochas Okorocha.

The Performing Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state is not relenting in his efforts to leave lasting legacies in the sands of time by building monumental projects even as he counts down to the end of his administration in the next five months.

Apart from building 27 General Hospitals in each of the respective LGAs of the state,Owelle is at the completion stage of a people-oriented project, the One thousand bed "Mother & Child" hospital situated at the former New Market site barely few months after the relocation of the popular spare parts hub to Imo International Market Naze.

While addressing mammoth crowds of Imolites who besieged him during inspection of the project Thursday evening, the Governor said; "This is a free medical facility for our pregnant mothers and poorest of the poor children who can not afford high cost of medical bills.Also, no fewer than Eight hundred youths will be employed at the completion of the hospital including,Paediatrics and gynaecologists, nurses & other medical science related personnel. He assured the crowd that,he will not handover power to those who will destroy the state or rob it".

It is on record that,Owelle has more than one thousand monumental & verifiable projects to his credit the past seven years and counting and has promised to complete all ongoing projects before May 2019.

Do people get praises for using tax payer's money to work? What type of mentality is that, that makes politicians in Nigeria make so much noise after using 1% of the money they stole to build or do what the money was meant for? Damn, Nigeria is in deep problem.

pls get ur facts straight. the project is still in its early stages probably only 20percent complete.. this project can never be completed before Rochas leaves office..

The said hospitals are under construction for years. There is one opposite his personal Eastern Palm University .

It's a sad situation, while we vote in 21st century to have good roads, quality healthcare, electricity and security, Switzerland on the other hand is voting whether cows should have horns!

All our problems are no longer things worth voting for by the Swiss!

Not a single one of the 27 hospitals is functioning. Some have been converted to other uses. The one in my LGA, Ikeduru, has now been converted to a military hospital/base.

Okorocha is a disgusting fraud. Forget what you see in the media, he is so hated in Imo State.

He will not hand over to anybody that can extend development to Orlu, that's the meaning of Okorocha's long fight to succeed himself.

IMSUTH in Orlu was strangulated in seven years by Okorocha, he refused to asphalt the 1.5 km road to IMSUTH.

Okorocha built about five new big hospitals in and around Owerri.



Okorocha told elders from Orlu zone that people of Orlu zone should come to settle in Owerri and claim Owerri as their town.

Okorocha litters every space in Owerri with empty buildings ranging from this hospital to federal prisons, federal police Headquarters, Federal high court, NUJ House, ten lane streets, City Schools at nearly every Owerri street junction, roofed Owerri streets, underground car park to ..... name any thing that comes to his mind he builds in Owerri;


....all to waste Imo state money in Owerri, because ancient and modern grudges against Orlu would not allow him look beyond Owerri.

I'm with you on this! There's just too much hot air coming out of some states in the south-east! It's all playing to the gallery b'cos of the upcoming elections! See Ikpeazu talking of a Dubai-like city when he hasn't cleaned up small Aba and Umuahia first!

It's only Umahi i have little confidence in b'cos there's actually something on ground to back up his own talk!

To fully kill IMSUTH located in Okorocha's enemy territory, Orlu, is all the reason why Okorocha's craze for hospital since he came to office.

Okorocha abandoned IMSUTH to decay because it was located in his enemy territory.

And as if that wasn't bad enough, he'll then go and assault our senses by slapping his ugly grinning face on every other billboard available to declare 'governor is working' and that the citizens have never had it so good!

That's the reason why many politicians are angry with Okorocha. He has done things which they said is impossible especially free education to University level. Efforts are always in top gear to discredit his projects because it destroys myths. He said he would expand all the major roads in Owerri to 10 lane between 2017 and 2019 and they said it's impossible but he has almost completed all the roads now and it's clear they'll be completed before May 2019.

Meanwhile what Okorocha said was 200 bed Hospital and not 1000. I think his aide either made a mistake or exaggerated it.

Okorocha is just trying to cover up his loots.
