Suicide is one thing that parents and guardians overlook until it happens in their homes. Like you rightly said, I'm of the opinion that suicide/ suicidal behaviors are of a result of depression.

Depression comes to play when a person feels he's a failure, can't face challenges any longer, anxious about what the future holds, low self esteem, family problems, rape, etc... I really don't care what could be the reason for suicide, as it's not worth taking one's life!

There's more to life than killing oneself.

you hardly hear of Edo ppl comiting suicide coz it's a very big taboo and it will bring shame and disgrace to that family that the family elders may even b fined , that's if the person who caused it don't get banished. not to mention the stigma. not that we aren't prone to it but we are always made to understand the implications at a young age.

Human beings will likely prefer to contribute money for your burial than contributing for your survival. Dats d kind of life we live in.
