Knowing US Justice Department

He would've been in prison for at least 50 years before they would even revisit i Or review his case...

And that is, when he is old, wrinkled and useless to himself and society

Or if he is of good behavior..

So, Alhaji Baba, forget that Pikin....

You already lost him when he became a radical terrorist..
terrorist is a terrorist. which one be radical.

well the US legal system serve him right. If he is to be release, maybe when he is very old or cannot walk again, thats when they will consider to release him but really, they dont need to release that terrorist. Let hime rot in solitary confinement for the rest f his life.
omo that punishment is the worst punishment on earth.

I sympathize with the father, although the did is done and it can't be undone but I believed the USA authority will one day tamper justice with mercy because if the boy wanted to blow up the air plane he would have do it but due to his soft heart he couldn't. Allah will see you through.

But how did his call save the people?
The guy was already igniting the bomb before his pant caught fire giving other passengers the opportunity to wrestle him to the ground. so pls throw more light on how ur report saved the flight

He noticed the boy was imbibing terrorist habits and reported him to the US embassy for further investigation and surveillance on him. Upon further investigation by the embassy and security agencies, he was stopped before he committed what would have been a heinous act.

How did the father’s warning saved 270 lives?

The guy attempted igniting the explosives mid-air with about 270 people on board the plane, but he was unsuccessful...hence those lives were saved.

Or is father saying, he rigged the explosives to render them inactive hence the unsuccessful attempt?

He should just forgot the guy, 3x life sentences plus 50, he is not coming back except when he passes, I don’t even know if US prison releases dead corpse to family members, since they are legally the wards of the government and the government can do whatever with their corpses.

The father was not the reason those on the same flight with were save. They were saved because the bomb malfunction. And the father did not report the son for terrorism. The old man was trying to use his connection to know the whereabouts of his son. Don't be coming here now and be twisting story.

Very remorseful....! I can even feel it here after 8yrs.....yeye boy!!

That's what radical Islam is all about, producing irrationally, depraved terrorists all over the world all because ''Islam is the only true religion accepted by Allah'' bulshit! ''Death to Infidels'' bla bla..

Trust Donald Trump, dis Katsina terrorist go perish for dia..!

USA is not Nigeria where Buhari will release you from jail with cash benefits to go do more....!

Please, learn to stick to the topic.

And who cares if he spends is entire earthly life in that dungeon.

Is father did all a good father could, but as humans we all. have a choice to be good or evil.

Islām never orders anyone to kill anybody just for any reason one feels.
I can't as a Muslim go ahead to massacre a family simply because someone from that family wronged me. In Islām,it is not permitted to take laws into your hands. There is procedural process you pass through to get justice not this .

AbdulMutallib may well kiss goodbye to his chances of coming about of that place. He has mislead many non Muslims in thinking wrong about Islam and Muslims and at the same time wronged us with his unIslaamic conduct.

We pray that we should never see such again.

Not true, agreed he reported to authorities...but that was not what stoped the guy.

He could not ignite his explosives properly before he was subdued mid-air in the plane.

They get treated in solitary confinement, that's why it is a Supermax facility. From the hole, to the aid station, and back to the hole. It has everything so that you do not have contact with the outside world. You don't even see the sun- all solid walls. The prison is not just a physical form of torture. The moment you start losing track of time and begin to question the reason for your existence, that is when the real psychological torture begins. A living dead, a real zombie.
Funny enough, it is a form of research for the military authorities. They have shrinks who use "it" for behavioural sciences.

He has ample time in prison to finish the terrorist manual.

I have my reservations on the man’s claims or the effectiveness of the supposed surveillance on him.
How was he able to evade the scan? Perhaps, the airport security should be blamed but the dad’s claim that his observations and report to authorities prevented lives were wrong.

The boy couldn’t get the bomb to go off. The assemble or wiring was not done properly. It was in the process that proactive, suspicious and brave passengers descended on him and prevented the catastrophe.

By Abdullateef Aliyu

A renowned philanthropist, Alhaji Umar Abdul-Mutallab is calling on the authorities in the United State and Nigeria to revisit the life sentences of his son, Umar Faoruk Abdul-Mutallab who has been convicted and handed multiple life sentences in the US.

The young Abdul-Muttalab was convicted in 2012 for an attempted terror attack on Northwest Airlines Flight 253, after he was found with underwear strapped with explosives.

He was sentenced to four life terms plus 50 years without parole and incarcerated at ADX Florence, the Supermax Federal Prison in Colorado, United States.

Having spent a decade in solitary confinement, Abdul-Muttalab’s father who is the chairman of Jaiz Bank, believes his son who has been kept incommunicado would have been remorseful.

Speaking on Monday at an event where he was honoured with People’s Friendly Personality Award in Lagos by the Human Rights Monitor Agenda (HURMA), Abdul-Muttalab said his son’s incarceration is a pain he would bear till eternity.

Represented by the CEO of Jaiz Charity and Development Foundation, Imam Shuaib Abdullahi, Abdul-Muttalab said he felt fulfilled that his decision to call attention of the US and Nigerian authorities to the strange behaviours of his son saved the lives of over 270 people.

Abdullahi quoting the Jaiz Charman said, “Each time I discussed with him, he tells me that Imam, ‘I have done my own as a Nigerian, I have been able to save the lives of over 270 people because if that bomb had exploded, we are talking of about 279 lives that would have been lost. He said he was fulfilling that he was able to save those lives.

“At the same time it is also a pain for him for one’s son to be incarcerated, given three life sentences concurrently. He said he wouldn’t know if it would be possible in his life time for him to see his son but if it is the wish of God that the son is not released and he lives this world, so be it.

“But deep down in him, he wants to see a situation where perhaps the powers that be can revisit the issue especially now that the son is very remorseful because almost going to 12 years or so, the son is kept in a solitary confinement where he doesn’t interact with any human being even to the point that if he is to be given food, it is through an automatic system that would provide the food.

For a son who cannot even say whether it is morning, afternoon or night, you can really imagine the trauma it is going to be for the father”.

How did he save the lives of 279 people? Is the father or the son talking? If the father was talking, could it be he was the one that notified the authorities that his son was an underwear bomber?

Remorseful? See this old B.stard! Just assume your son is dead and gone. After all, if he had detonated the bomb , he would be dead along with other innocents. So...why the F..k do you need him?

A son that is ready to kill just cos he believes he will continuously get to "Pipe" seven virgins (underage, i'm sure) in his version of heaven.

Someone strap a bomb to the old man and see how he likes it. BAS..TARD!

The man is a liar. He did not play any part in the safety and eventual survival of the passengers.

The bomb simply didn’t go off. That was what saved the passengers, instead his son’s,groin, laps and underwear got scalded and bruised.

Lucky bastard, how would he have enjoyed his virgins when his bits would’ve been blown to pieces?

I think this man should be in jail as well, he was the one that sent him to the Middle East to study Islamic studies instead of encouraging him to focus on becoming a competent engineer.

Finally, despite all the money wasted on him, he failed as an engineer, comon wires, he couldn’t connect them together, he failed as a suicide bomber as well. His long bearded instructors in the Middle East would be very embarrassed.

The bolded isn't factually correct. The boy snuck his way to Yemen without his parents knowledge. It was when he was there that he informed his dad what he was there for. I believe his mum is from the middle East making him a citizen of one of the countries there. I stand to be corrected on my last statement though

Well, he is alive and not dead. Thank God you said, "dies in his sin." He is still alive. My assumption- and from his Father's statement- is that he has repented. Which, morally, should see him to Paradise even though it would not see him have a reduced sentence or an early exit from prison.
