In the Book of Medicine of his Sahih, Al-Bukhari recorded that `A'ishah said, "The Messenger of Allah was bewitched until he thought that he had relations with his wives, but he had not had relations with them.'' Sufyan said, "This is the worst form of magic when it reaches this stage.'' So the Prophet said,

(O `A'ishah! Do you know that Allah has answered me concerning that which I asked Him Two men came to me and one of them sat by my head while the other sat by my feet. The one who was sitting by my head said to the other one, `What is wrong with this man' The other replied, `He is bewitched.' The first one said, `Who bewitched him' The other replied, `Labid bin A`sam. He is a man from the tribe of Banu Zurayq who is an ally of the Jews, and a hypocrite.' The first one asked, `With what (did he bewitch him)' The other replied, `With a comb and hair from the comb.' The first one asked, `Where (is the comb)' The other answered, `In the dried bark of a male date palm under a rock in a well called Dharwan.') `A'ishah said, "So he went to the well to remove it (the comb with the hair). Then he said,

«هَذِهِ الْبِئْرُ الَّتِي أُرِيتُهَا، وَكَأَنَّ مَاءَهَا نُقَاعَةُ الحِنَّاءِ،وَكَأَنَّ نَخْلَهَا رُؤُوسُ الشَّيَاطِين»

(This is the well that I saw. It was as if its water had henna soaked in it and its palm trees were like the heads of devils.) So he removed it (of the well). Then I (`A'ishah) said, `Will you not make this public' He replied,

«أَمَّا اللهُ فَقَدْ شَفَانِي، وَأَكْرَهُ أَنْ أُثِيرَ عَلَى أَحَدٍ مِنَ النَّاسِ شَرًّا»

(Allah has cured me and I hate to spread (the news of) wickedness to any of the people.)''

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

(1. Say: "I seek refuge with the Lord of An-Nas,'') (2. "The King of An-Nas,'') (3. "The God of An-Nas,'') (4. "From the evil of the whisperer who withdraws.'') (5. "Who whispers in the breasts of An-Nas.'') (6. "Of Jinn and An-Nas.'')

These are three attributes from the attributes of the Lord, the Mighty and Majestic. They are lordship, sovereignty and divinity. Thus, He is the Lord of everything, the King of everything and the God of everything. All things are created by Him, owned by Him, and subservient to Him. Therefore, He commands whoever is seeking protection to seek refuge with the One Who has these attributes from the evil of the whisperer who withdraws. This (the whisperer) is the devil that is assigned to man. For verily, there is not any of the Children of Adam except that he has a companion that beautifies wicked deeds for him. This devil will go to any lengths to confuse and confound him. The only person who is safe is He Whom Allah protects.

It is confirmed in the Sahih that he (the Prophet ) said,

«مَا مِنْكُمْ مِنْ أَحَدٍ إِلَّا قَدْ وُكِّلَ بِهِ قَرِينُهُ»

(There is not a single one of you except that his companion (a devil) has been assigned to him.) They (the Companions) said, "What about you, O Messenger of Allah'' He replied,

«نَعَمْ، إِلَّا أَنَّ اللهَ أَعَانَنِي عَلَيْهِ فَأَسْلَمَ، فَلَا يَأْمُرُنِي إِلَّا بِخَيْرٍ»

(Yes. However, Allah has helped me against him and he has accepted Islam. Thus, he only commands me to do good.) It is also confirmed in the Two Sahihs from Anas, who reported the story of Safiyyah when she came to visit the Prophet while he was performing I`tikaf, that he went out with her during the night to walk her back to her house. So, two men from the Ansar met him (on the way). When they saw the Prophet , they began walking swiftly. So, the Messenger of Allah said,

«عَلَى رِسْلِكُمَا، إِنَّهَا صَفِيَّةُ بِنْتُ حُيَيَ»

(Slow down! This is Safiyyah bint Huyay!) They said, "Glory be to Allah, O Messenger of Allah!'' He said,

«إِنَّ الشَّيْطَانَ يَجْرِي مِنِ ابْنِ آدَمَ مَجْرَى الدَّم، وَإِنِّي خَشِيتُ أَنْ يَقْذِفَ فِي قُلُوبِكُمَا شَيْئًا، أَوْ قَالَ: شَرًّا»

(Verily, Shaytan runs in the Son of Adam like the running of the blood. And verily, I feared that he might cast something into your hearts -- or he said -- evil.) Sa`id bin Jubayr reported that Ibn `Abbas said concerning Allah's statement,

(The whisperer (Al-Waswas) who withdraws.) "The devil who is squatting (perched) upon the heart of the Son of Adam. So when he becomes absentminded and heedless he whispers. Then, when he remembers Allah he withdraws.'' Mujahid and Qatadah also said this.

Al-Mu`tamir bin Sulayman reported that his father said, "It has been mentioned to me that Shaytan is Al-Waswas. He blows into the heart of the Son of Adam when he is sad and when he is happy. But when he (man) remembers Allah, Shaytan withdraws.'' Al-`Awfi reported from Ibn `Abbas;

(The whisperer.) "He is Shaytan. He whispers and then when he is obeyed, he withdraws.'' As for Allah's saying;

(Who whispers in the breasts of An-Nas.) Is this specific for the Children of Adam as is apparent, or is it general, including both mankind and Jinns

There are two views concerning this. This is because they (the Jinns) are also included in the usage of the word An-Nas (the people) in most cases.

Ibn Jarir said, "The phrase Rijalun min Al-Jinn (Men from the Jinns) has been used in reference to them, so it is not strange for the word An-Nas to be applied to them also.'' Then Allah says,

(Of Jinn and An-Nas.) Is this explanatory of Allah's statement,

(Who whispers in the breasts of An-Nas.) Then, Allah explains this by saying,

(Of Jinn and An-Nas.) This is supportive of the second view. It has also been said that Allah's saying,

(Of Jinn and An-Nas) is an explanation of who is it that whispers into the breasts of mankind from the devils of mankind and Jinns. This is similar to Allah's saying,

o(And so We have appointed for every Prophet enemies -- Shayatin among mankind and Jinn, inspiring one another with adorned speech as a delusion.) (6:112) Imam Ahmad recorded that Ibn `Abbas said, "A man came to the Prophet and said, `O Messenger of Allah! Sometimes I say things to myself that I would rather fall from the sky than say (aloud openly). ' The Prophet said,

«اللهُ أَكْبَرُ، اللهُ أَكْبَرٌ الْحَمْدُ للهِ الَّذِي رَدَّ كَيْدَهُ إِلَى الْوَسْوَسَةِ»

(Allah is Most Great! Allah is Most Great! All praise is due to Allah Who sent his (Shaytan's) plot back as only a whisper.)'' Abu Dawud and An-Nasa'i also recorded this Hadith.

This is the end of the Tafsir. All praise and thanks are due to Allah, the Lord of all that exists.

How can the so-called greatest prophet be affected by a black magic? Was he still receiving a revelation while he was in this delusional state? Just curious though.

This is the issue we are discussing; don't deflect and divert. How can magic be worked on the so-called greatest prophet? It is not compulsory to respond if you don't know.

OK. Between a spiritual attack and a physical attack, which one do you think is more glaring and quicker in defence?

Kindly change how you quoted me.

Spiritual attacked involves demons and spirits; how can a prophet be successfully attacked by demonic forces (as your prophet was)?

Physical attacks is more controllable and within your human consciousnesses. If an aggressive person wants to attack you, you can choose to run away, dodge or hide, but you cannot do this while under a spiritual attack.

Why was your prophet under a spiritual and demonic attacks? Did Allah gave him any revelations while he experienced these attacks.

What you don't understand is that is that all prophets(peace be upon them) are human beings like us. And the bewitchment on the Prophet(peace be upon him) is like him being sick from a sickness. If a sickness is spiritual, it will be physically shown on the person.
Allah only allowed that to happen to him to show us that he's only a human being like us. It's not different from when he has fever.

And you said physical attack could be defended, I wonder god of the Jesus of the cross can't defend him and interfere in his affair. And he allowed him to be humiliated and nailed.

You asked if Allah gave him a revelation during the sickness. I know where you're going on this. As I said earlier the bewitchment is only physical and does not in any way affect his intellect and brain, it's only his body.

Would you mind, if I show you from the hadith, how the magic affected his intellect which made his wife Aisha bint Abu Bakr remarked that the prophet said and imagined to have done what he never really did? If someone have an illusion or false imagination, what do you call such a person? How can you trust his sense of judgement? Don't defend what's indefensible bro!

THOSE WHO SAY THE PROPHET WAS BEWITCHED ARE ASTRAYED

We know best what they listen to when they listen to you, and when they take counsel secretly, when the wicked say: "Ye follow none other than a man bewitched (mashur)!"

Prophet was bewitched .
Prophet was revealed what to recite to get healed from
being bewitched.
That automatically becomes sunnah. .

..
If a Muslim is bewitched or is having illness..
Recite the dua.

The dua is called ruqya..

...
No difference between this and rosul ascending to heaven to collect salat and perform it for us so as for us to follow him..

Simple thing ..

..
Mind you, some kufar acclaiming Muslim will tell you they spoke with jinn, that the jinn is a female and all sorts of nonsense..
And they also took ruqya as job..

Run away from them.. They are jalabi people just like baba alawo..

.

Recite the ruqya for yourself.. And if you can recite it, recite it for who needs it without asking you..

Suratul jinn is not among the ruqya verse and so many other verse they added themselves..

Their leader in jalabi affiliated with ruqya in Nigeria IS TOHGUT, MUBTEDIH, KAFIR, FAASIQ, ZINDIQ called EESA AKINDELE of tadomun kufru sect

..
To understand this issue of ruqya perfectly..

Listen to Al muhadith abu Abdul rahaman Muhammad Awwal Ali jabata .
.
His lectures on magic 1-6 and his lectures on ruqya. .

Allah (SWT) is teaching us an important lessing that nobody is above being bewitched. God sent down the 2 powerful Surahs (Nas and Falaq) as protection and cure only for those who believe in his words (Qur'an). The lessons will increase believers in blessings and protection but only increase those who disbelieve Allah and his Messenger in confusion and destruction in the world and on judgement day...

This is why we have asked you to accept Islam so that you will understand how Allah does things. Magic only happens by the permission of Allah, Allah allowed the magic to befall Muhammad S.A.W. in order to try him and elevate his status and to also damn Labib (May Allah's curse be upon him) for his actions, and to teach the prophet S.A.W. and the Muslims to not be heedless in seeking of His protection against their enemies.

The meccan pagans have a better view than all the Nairaland Muslims on the mental state of the prophet hence the accusations/observations and the revelation. Aisha also made a similar remark on the mental state of the holy prophet.

If you read all the Quranic passages I provided, you will understand the mindset of the meccan pagans concerning your prophet. The passages continued exonerating Mohammed of not being mad. Why will someone continue telling people 'I am not mad'? That's to tell you that people took him to be mad or to be psychologically unstable.

I believe you have read Aisha's account of how a black magic was worked on the prophet which made him delusional.

I agree but the Quraish were doing so out of arrogance so Allah kept on warning, they refused to listen, then Allah caused him to have power over them, so they were ashamed when they were over powered he asked them what do they think he'll do to them? They said surely he is known for his virtue and he'll spare, and so did he, after all arrogance and persistence they knew he had the best of character but because of pride and arrogance they refused to believe until he over powered them. I have never seen any Christian, praising prophet Muhammad S.A.W. for sparing the Meccans after they killed two of his children and killed his uncle, and companions, I don't see anyone praising prophet Muhammad S.A.W for stopping the burial of female children, and making women's rights equal to that of men, they only focus on things like he had slaves and he married Aisha R.A. at the age of 8, all of the slaves he had were freed and he usually bought slaves to free them, he didn't owning a single slave and some people that don't have proper thinking want the practices of 21st century to be the same with 7th century. No praises Islamic golden age era for bringing modernisation to world, yeah why should they when they want to own all the wealth May Allah's curse be upon the Romans, they corruption on the earth and their defendants continue to do so may Allah open your eyes.

No praises Islamic golden age era for bringing modernisation to world, yeah why should they when they want to own all the wealth May Allah's curse be upon the Romans, they corruption on the earth and their defendants continue to do so may Allah open your eyes.
I think you over-patronize your prophet here. I am happy that we both agree that the meccan pagans thought that your prophet had a psychological issue hence the surahs I qouted earlier to buttress my points. People will not form an almost universal opinion on someone if they have not carefully observed such a person before reaching a conclusion. You said the prophet was magnanimous to the meccans yet he gave an order that they should be wiped out if they resisted his invasion. Remeber he also ordered the killing of 6 of his sworn enemies in mecca even if the hide inside the kabba, among them which is Abdulla ibn Sarh.

You said the Christians do not appreciate your prophet. Why should they? Remember he beheaded over 600 Jews of Banu Quraiza in one day. He also promised to expelled all Jews and Christians from the Arabian peninsula which he did. He also ensure that Christians and Jews are cursed in all the daily Islamic prayers in surah al-fathia ayah 6 to 7. He also asked Muslims not to take the Jews and Christians as friends (quran 5:51).

With all these, how do you expect the Christians and the Jews to have regards for him?

You said Islam brought modernization to the world, how? If Muslims brought modernization almost all Muslims countries will be developed but the opposite is true. Most Muslim countries are backward and underdeveloped. The Muslims make up of the largest modern destitute and refugees worldwide. Muslims are fleeing their countries to either the US, Canada or Europe, in millions. If Islam presents a solution to their problems they wont be desperate to leave their sharia-compliant countries in their hundreds of millions.

I have answered everything you're saying here you're just trying to argue, but I'll still answer you anyway. If there were signs of Madness in him how would people of Medina welcome a Mad man with open Arms? And other regions accept his message. the prophet Never said they should be wiped because the prophet will never commit massacre, he ordered that any resistance should be crushed all, the 6 people he asked to be persecuted were dangerous hypocrites
they could cause disunity among the Muslims and stop making prophet Muhammad S.A.W look like a blood thirsty person it will really make your ignorance apparent.
How can your allies people whom you live together with in the same community betray you and you'll spare them? This people went to attack the women
and children of the Muslims, even after the prophet pleaded with them and you expect mercy for them something must be wrong with you. Most of their scholars and Rabies accept Islam after testing him for the signs of prophethood, what were the others waiting for? They were also expelled to preserve the divine message and in case of any treachery it will be prevented, take for example the Roman king who once tried to steal the body of the prophet from his tomb in Medina he sent some Christians to pretend to be Muslims while carrying out their treachery, if Christians were around their plot would have been bigger more dangerous than that. Thank Allah that the khalifah then was a pious Man and Allah showed him the plot of the Christians in his dream. I expect them to give him regards because he allowed them to live anywhere in the Islamic Caliphate except in Arabia, they could in Egypt, Iraq, Syria e.t.c. The Qur'an is the word of Allah, it is Allah that ordered Us not to take Christians and Jews that are hostile to us as friends. All the Muslim countries were doing fine until the Americans gave them democracy, the refugees to are because of the West and their allies, they only away khawarijites that are claiming to be fighting for the sake of Islam while they're sponsored by the West and they kill innocent people, and rape women I don't know which shariah they're promoting. As long as I know there's no Muslim country practising full sharia. Let the Americans and the West leave their countries and they'll also stop coming to theirs simple.

You tried. Islam is a religion that thrive on migration and refugees. Do you know how Islamic calendar is dated? It is after Hijrah (AH). The first modern refugees were muslims when they went on first Hijra to Ethiopia. The second Hijra, migration, refugee was when the prophet left mecca for Medina. Was it the Americans that created the first and second Islamic migration crisis during the time of the prophet? Take responsibility for your actions as a matured man.

You will agree with me that the meccans questioned the sanity of the prophet and Aisha also confirmed his mental state at a time. I believe the meccans, who are eye-witnesses will have a better testimony to this fact than both of us.

You also agreed that the prophet commanded that any opposition to his invasion of mecca should be crushed and not wiped out as I stated initially. In military term, wipe-out can also be used as crushed.

I heard you say most rabbi accepted his prophet-hood. I don't agree to this. The Christians and Jews were banished from the arabia (you wil agree with me that the Jews and Christians were in Arabia before Islam) while the polytheist were either killed or forced to convert and pay the zakat. You were proud they were expelled to preserve the divine message, what if the Americans decided to expel all muslims from the US to preserve secular democracy which is 100% against the Islamic value system? Hope you will praise the Americans as well. This is because many Muslims organizations such as CAIR, the Muslim brotherhood, Muslim student society, etc run agenda contrary to the US democracy and secular government. Hope you will be happy.
